this morning at 8:00. chopper 4 flew over as boats and a helicopter looked for the man near great falls last night. their search was suspended when it became too dark. the man went underwater near the billy goat trail and did not resurface. the prince george's hospital center is putting measures in place to treat water after a potentially dangerous bacteria was found in a new area. water testing found pseudomonas outside of the neonatal intensive care unit. but didn't specify where. last week, the babies were moved from the area because the bacteria could cause infections for some patients. donald trump will get a first classified intelligence briefing today. it will be conducted by the office of the director of national intelligence. chris christie and trump's adviser michael flynn will join him at that

down the street here on first street. you see the entire block here between o and p is blocked off because of this investigation. you probably can see the flash of the camera lights. those are investigators taking pictures of evidence down on the ground. now, the other thing we know about those yellow things that you see there, those are often where bullet shell casings have ended up when there is a shooting. it's hard to count exactly how many of those evidence markers were seen. but there are a lot of them. i think at least around 20. now here's what we know about the shooting. it's a triple shooting. three people shot here this morning. not that long ago at about 3:00. police are telling us the victims are two women and one man. now, right now police are just beginning their investigation back here live. we don't have a lot of information about what exactly went down here. but we can tell you that right now, police are looking

proctor who was interim chief in 1997. d.c. mayor muriel bowser will have to fill two seats. chief lanier will step down september 17th. the schools chancellor, kaya henderson is leaving the end of september. the replacements comes as bowser gears up for her own reelection campaign next year. a sign post before he was shot and killed by a deputy outside of a hospital. the 29-year-old was just discharged. the guards were walking him to a bus stop when they say he had a, quote, mental health episode. a fairfax county deputy shot him multiple times after failed attempts to negotiate with him. the depp tip is on administrative leave as the investigation continues. expect more delays on the red line for the rest of the week. metro has extended safetrack work under way until sunday. it's also adjusting the rest of the repair schedule because of safety concerns after last month's

million worth of damage to this famous structure. there's a big effort to fix it and to raise more money to bring the project to a close. but there's a great deal of work still to be done. the cathedral already has spent over $10 million, most of that for repairs to the inside of the cathedral. there's another $22 million in repairs to the towers and finials and figures to give the cathedral it's distinctive magnificent look. they're doing what they can while they look to raise the money they need. in the district, tom sherwood, news 4. breaking right now, a triple shooting in the district. the victims are two women and one man. more than 24 hours after flames shot out of the ground in northwest washington, repair crews are still working to fix the problem. we are live at the scene with what commuters and people who work in the area need to know. >> as tough as it gets for an
