tonight at 6:00 health officials in virginia investigating a cluster of helpty 'tis a cases and they may all in fact be lirnged to the smoothie cafe chain. you may have seen the alert about this. we are joined live in alexandria with more on what you need to know. >> reporter: i can tell you that this store here is still very busy today. we went inside and there are signs posted warning customers about this health scare. here is what virginia health officials are telling us. there's been a cluster of hepatitis a cases associated with the cafe. the case is caused by a strain connected to past

egypt involving frozen strawberries. that's the culprit here. the store pulled all the strawberries from its stores. if you bought a smoothie from august 5th to august 8th you could get a vaccine. you want to watch for signs, one is jaundis. this applies to people that may have gotten frozen strawberries from restaurants. let's hear from one man who says he may have been exposed to the virus. >> i think if it is the first time i've heard of anything like this happening to this store and if anything like this happens again then they're obviously screwing up but everyone makes mistakes. i expect them to be vigilant to make sure their fruit supplies aren't contaminated. >> reporter: here is part of a statement that was issued by the company
