me upset. >> the only way to prevent it to have the neighborhoods band together. in a developing story out of prince george's county, police are turning to neighbors to help find the killer of a local rapper, douglas brooks. they knocked on doors last night in the suit land area. the rising star was shot outside his apartment building in that area on sunday. more on that tragedy developing in italy this morning. recovery crews are using dogs to try to find more bodies in the debris. new this morning, we now know 247 people have died. italy is dealing with after shocks right now. three towns are pretty much piles of rubble. more than 400 people were hurt and almost as many people are living in tents and shelters right now. good morning, i'm

sunshine later on today. the severe weather from indian impulse in the atmosphere is going mainly to new york and pennsylvania. the trailing end of that could bring a little chance for some showers today primarily up in the mountains of west virginia and into the shenandoah valley. in the tropics, there's gaston way out in the middle atlantic. our main area of focus is near the dominican republic and haiti. the hurricane center is keeping a close eye on that. if it gets organized it could be a threat to south florida in the sunday evening, monday morning time frame. we'll watch that very carefully. for us, hot and humid. there's the extended forecast now. once we get back into the 90s, likely to be most areas today or tomorrow, we'll be in the 90s all the way into early next week with rain chances not coming back into the picture really until tuesday, wednesday,
