collisions including police vehicles. some lanes were blocked for a while in both directions with some major delays. three people were treated for a nonlife threatening injuries. new pictures of the car involved in the deadly hit and run near dupont circle last week. police say the dark colored sedan could have a yellow year license plate and it should have damage of the driver's side hood, the fender and the windshield. the car hit and killed a 24-year-old last friday morning. he was from arlington. he had just gotten off work at a nearby bar. decision 2016 has a new line of attack with donald trump and hillary clinton accusing each other of bigotry. chris lawrence is in the news room with the latest on the campaign trail. >> reporter: earlier tonight donald trump said hillary clinton talks a good game, but hasn't done anything to help african americans or

a racist. jim? >> chris lawrence, thank you. meanwhile, maine's governor is calling the father of a dead u.s. army captain a con artist. you probably remember at the democratic national convention. he criticized trump for smearing the character of muslims. today maine's republican governor paul lepage said khan used his son's death to his own advantage. he has made controversial comments before. in january he accused drug dealers of coming to maine, to, quote, impregnate white girls. a man pleaded not to hopping the security barrier at the white house. he's charged with deliberately climbing over a barrier marked restrict area, don't enter. according to police report, they questioned kaine while he was walking along pennsylvania avenue yesterday morning. shortly after that the

only one victim is unidentified. >> the ntsb released a report on a deadly plane crash. witnesses say the plane was coming in high and fast for landing that shannon airport about two weeks ago. surveillance video reveals that the plane briefly touched down on the runway, bounced several times and became airborne again. it crashed 300 feet past the runway. all six people on board died. it could take months before investigators determine the cause. ryan lochte is now facing a trial in brazil. this afternoon authorities officially charged lochte with filing a false police report. lochte said and his team meats we -- teammates were robbed. but he later admitted to being drunk and getting into a confrontation with security guards. lochte

lives. crews are searching for survivors. we report on the continuing rescue efforts and the aftershocks. >> reporter: hello from the hardest hit town where survivors have been sleeping outside for a second night. there's been a series of violent tremors here, aftershocks, and they have scared. for everyone here, the trauma continues. >> still digging, still hoping for a miracle after 48 hours, but the ground is still shaking too. >> there's just been an enormous aftershock here. one of more than 400. the dust still rising here. it sent rescuers running and ambulances scrambling. but still they dig and here's why. after hearing a voice in the rubble rescuers find a little girl and free her trapped
