dramatic exit. mark? >> reporter: wait until you see all of this video shot from the dash cam behind me. police tell us the private ambulance was traveling on the outbound lane, the outer loop of 495, just before the 270 spur, when someone, for no reason, this man decided to jump. this dash cam video from a passing car shows the 23-year-old man jumping out of the back of a moving ambulance during rush hour traffic on the beltway. the man rolls in front of several moving cars and jumps the jersey wall and takes off into the woods. >> i thought he was going to throw up and then he jumps. i thought, this guy hates hospitals. >> reporter: the man was being transported from one hospital to another when he unbuckled his

>> the driver saw it through his window, his mirror. he tried to come to a stop before the back door opened. >> reporter: they asked him to be seated but he refused. he then opened the door and jumped out. >> what surprises us is how casual the passenger in the ambulance got out and walked over to the wall while she's talking on her cell phone and i'm pointing to my -- he went over the wall. the ambulance stayed in the lane. >> reporter: police searched the area using dogs but didn't find him until later that day miles away in prince george's county near his home. no one was injured during this incident. luckily, the man was returned to the hospital because he broke no laws no one is facing any charges. angie, back to you. >> that's incredible. thank you, mark. he forced police to shut down their

another first for the zika virus. health officials say a man from maryland showed no symptoms but spread the virus by having sex with his partner. he had visited the dominican republic where there's an outbreak of zika. also, the fda ordered all blood donated to be tested for the virus. florida governor rick scott says he will travel to d.c. next week to meet with members of congress. he's calling for more federal action to help stop the spread. and doctors down in florida are keeping a close eye on a baby born with the zika virus. now, the little girl is nearly two months old and does not have microcephaly. the neurological condition seen in so many other births. but the baby's motherco
