what can you tell us? >> reporter: police have just identified the two men killed last night, a 40-year-old and 27-year-old man are both believed to have lived in the neighborhood where the shootings happened. that's the 300 block of 34th street northeast. last night around 11:30 police were called for reports of a shooting but the circumstances that led up to the shooting are not clear. news 4 spoke with a cousin of the deceased man this morning. >> he was always looking for jobs and things like that. he did things in the neighborhood. he cut grass. he'd take groceries in. he walked people home. he was really a good guy. >> reporter: right now very little information as i said is available about the circumstances that led up to

this double homicide last night. live at d.c. police headquarters news 4. >> thank you very much. an arrest in a shocking and gruesome murders of two munns in mississippi. police have charged a suspect with two counts of murder. they say he killed the two nuns, their bodies found in their home after they failed to show up for work. police have not said whether the man knew the nuns or why he allegedly killed them. and the heat continues at least today it wasn't as bad as yesterday. we were only a few degrees cooler though and still kind of humid out there as we head into the evening hours it stays muggy. by 8:00 around 84 degrees so if yoo ur taking the dog out still going to notice how uncomfortable it is. by 10:00 we're around 80 in washington. still need the a/c

74 degrees at 7:00 a.m. and you need the sun glasses and we warm up quickly. by 10:00 a.m. 80 degrees. tomorrow we're in the 90s and the heat for the most part continues but i'm tracking a mini cool down. right now there is concern growing for a missing 12-year-old boy from prince george's county. look at your screen right now. this boy is 3'10'' and weighs about 50 pounds. he wears glasses and has a scar on his left hand. he was last seen on 18th avenue. if you've seen him, call police. a construction worker is recovering after falling into a seven-foot hole. the worker was in a bobcat machine doing excavation work at a building. fire rescue spokesperson says the bobcat went forward falling into the

that heavy piece of machinery ended up on top of the worker inside the trench. amazingly the worker was not trapped or hurt, but it did take a couple of hours for rescuers to be able to get him out of there. charges are pending against a virginia driver accused of hitting a maryland state police car. police believe the driver was underst under the influence of alcohol. the trooper was doing a stop before 7:00 this morning when his car was hit. the car that hit it flipped and caught fire. the trooper was able to pull the driver out. we know the driver was hospitalized but is expected to be okay. going to lower taxes on businesses large and small so companies in virginia can compete with companies all over the world. >> republican vice presidential nominee mike pence pushed his plan to improve the economy to a crowd today.
