probably a lot more clouds around tomorrow. so today's probably the last really pretty day to get outside to enjoy it. fair skies over washington this morning. a couple of extra clouds around this morning, but it is mild. temperatures are nearly 20 degrees above average for this time of the day in october. later this afternoon, dulles airport, likely to break another record. that will be three days in a row. any tiny rain chance today is really out along i-81. i don't think we need to worry about that in and around the city. for tomorrow, more clouds and a better chance for a hit-and-miss there's a reason i have the precautionary tale of a rain drop or two in the shenandoah valley today as the fading rain drops are here across southwestern parts of pennsylvania. temperaturewise, we're already near 70 degrees. we'll be near 80 by lunchtime and into the low 80s for highs this afternoon. again, better rain chances come back in late tonight and friday is looking a bit on the rainy side. more on that and the weekend coming up in a few minutes. melissa mollet and chopper 4 are teaming up. we have problems westbound 50 at 295.

here on prince place in upper marlboro. they are looking for the relationship between the man and woman that were shot and they are looking for the person who fired the deadly shots. it was 1:45 when the 911 call came in. the woman was found on the scene taken in critical condition to the hospital where she later died. the man also shot but he is expected to survive. we are also told a puppy was taken from the car as well.

he had a gun and ran off into the woods. police say he is still out there but no longer is in that area. they gave the all-clear just a couple hours ago. today an 18-year-old d.c. woman will appear in court on charges that she murdered a teenager after a fight on a metro bus. 17-year-old kaley minor was stabbed to death in the petworth neighborhood monday night. >> i don't know what caused this fight, but i know whatever it was, it wasn't important enough for a 17-year-old to be dead and one to have signed her life away. >> d.c. police say minor and kyla jones got into a fight on a bus. the fight spilled onto the sidewalk once the bus stopped.

stabbed the teen in the chest. today we expect to learn what the fight was about. now the victim's family will hold a vigil, a candlelight vigil tonight at 5:00 p.m. at the corner of where minor died at kansas avenue and emerson street northwest. new details this morning, police say one man is responsible for two deadly shootings in the district. darrell thompson is charged with first-degree murder for the death of edward roberts jr. who was killed in july in northwest. the 27-year-old man is chg with the murder of tyler mckeecher who died earlier this month. police are investigating both homicide and another incident of assault with a dangerous weapon that is connected to thompson. and 6:06. today we'll learn more about the state of prince george's county public schools. the ceo kevin maxwell will give his address to the greater of

most. and a violent robbery caught on camera. d.c. police are looking for the four men in this video in connection to a robbery in georgetown. they say last thursday the men went into the store in the 1400 block of wisconsin avenue and stole several handbags. during the robbery, it appears the clerk attempted to stop the men from taking the items. one of the suspect hit the clerk several times before running out the door. it is an issue local leaders, business owners and sports team a on. and now you have a chance to share your opinion. we are talking about metro's proposal to keep early closing times. there's an open house tomorrow at metro headquarters running from 12:30 to 10:00 p.m. up for discussion, four proposals to reduce the amount of time trains run and give metro more time to do maintenance and inspection. riders can also take the online survey, e-mail comments or talk with staff in person at various metro rail stations.

double shooting in upper marlboro not far from prince george's community college. that's where megan mcgrath is live with the very latest. megan, what is going on right now? >> reporter: eun, just a short time ago the car that was at the center of this murder investigation was towed from the scene. and police are starting to remove some of the crime tape here. we're expecting that prince place will open up shortly as

the person responsible for the deadly shooting. now, a little while ago we saw the vehicle at the center of this investigation. the woman said at 5:00 she heard about five gunshots and saw the police activity in the neighborhood. and she was rather disturbed by it all. it was 1:45 when the 911ca a man and woman shot here on prince place. the woman taken to the hospital in critical condition where she later died. and the man also shot is expected to survive. we're also told there was a puppy inside the car taken by animal control from the scene. now, in terms of what the relationship is between the woman and the man here, police are still trying to piece that together. and also no word on motives at this point. of course, they are looking for

this is according to "the washington post." the state system went down on monday. the same day of the registration deadline. one registrar thinks that potentially tens of thousands of virginians were unable to register because of the crash. it was the first time the online system had been used in a presidential election. and the voter registration issues don't stop there. the indiana state police are investigating possible fraud into the state's voter registration database. the indiana secretary of state says thousands of voter without permission. but she says the database was not hacked. the records were changed on paper form, online and at motor vehicle offices. and the pivotal final debate could have a big impact on the final stretch of the race. live pictures coming in from the debate hall in las vegas. tracie potts is there, what is the game plan going into tonight? >> reporter: so the game plan
