in southeast. look at the video here and you can see for yourself. right around 10:00 last night, someone began to fire out on the street in the 2500 block of naylor road. some of bullets went through the window there. you can see the shattered glass pierced the window and went into an apartment complex. some of the bullets lodged in the walls. people were home at the time including a family with a person, a woman with a couple of kids. fotu a very, very scary and dangerous situation and there was another shooting that happened about the same time around 10:00 last night as well. that happened in the 3400 block of 12th street in southeast washington. someone opened up -- opened fire on that block and a number of cars were shot up in that incident. at this point, investigators are trying to figure out what, if any connection there is between

learn later today. good morning, darcy. >> reporter: good morning. yeah, the county executive and other leaders will hold a press conference later this afternoon here at the boulevard at the cat center where the new hospital will be held. it is part of the new downtown largo. it is a $543 million hospital built as a teaching hospital. it is going to replace the prince george's hospital center and aging metro station. it took three years for the county to get the certificate of need needed in order to build the hospital. they are are expecting to break ground sometime next year with a plan to open around 2020. the press conference is schedule allied here for 12:30 this afternoon being built as a celebration and the expectation is to improve the quality of healthcare right here in prince george's county.

an 11th american has died because of a ruptured takata air bag. this is a good reminder to check your car for recalls. honda says the california woman's civic had been recalled in 2008 but was never fixed. she was killed by the air bag during a crash last month. more than 100 million others had the same issue. go to the nbc washington app. we have a link to see if faulty air bags could be in your car. it is coming up on 6:55 right now.
