agents will use software to search what's left for duplicates they have already found during the investigation of the clinton e-mail server. any that remain will be checked for classified information. official says there's no way u to tell now how long this is going to take, but if it goes quickly and if nothing classified is found. but it largely depends on how many of the e-mails are duplicates and how many are new to the to maryland where state leaders are warning against voter fraud and intimidation at the polls. tom sherwood has more now on the steps being taken ahead of

>> everybody was sad. >> they had library. they put together a memorial in front of the schl. teens gunned down and killed in the parking lot of an apartment complex. 14-year-old todd webb junior, a freshman, was also shot and killed. he lived in the complex where the shooting happened. e he died just step was from his front door. gunfire exploded around 2:45 sunday morning. sources close to the investigation say it began after a party ended.

store. prosecutors completed their review in the shooting death. they found no evidence that the officers used excessive force or that they violated her civil rights. that shooting happened a year ago on alaska avenue in northwest. investigators say the officers shot mcmillen after she and another person robbed a store and then fired one of the officers. he ran toward the sound of gunshots trying to help out a neighbor. a a man is talking about the violence that struck his neighborhood on quail run lane saturday night leaving a young man dead. bureau chief julie carey joins us from the crime scene with more details on what happened there. >> that's where the neighbor found the victim who lived just down the street. you can see the evidence markers on the asphalt and this memorial that's grown throughout the day here. the victim's family tells me

they can find the person that fired the gunshots and didn't really care where the bullets landed. a wild spray of gunfire in this town home parking lot saturday night. when it was over, the 22-year-old fell mortally wounded shot multiple times. the bullets flew into town homes. >> it sounded like the bullets were going all through my house. >> reporter: he watched a car speed away and then ran straight to the victim. >> it went right over to him and he was asking me for help. he said you have been shot. he said, yeah. i just told him i'll stay with you until they get here. >> smith has two big holes in his siding to remind him of the chaos. today other neighbors offer the victim's family hugs and flowers a the parking lot memorial for the young man they call junior.

covering this case from the first court appearance, this is one that has proofed incredibly emotional. we saw that emotion pour out and it was very charged moment today in the courtroom as the defense played video, cell phone video recorded by the suspect of that deadly encounter. >> that's the emotional end that got 19-year-old out of jail on bond. it's why he's able to walk into court with his family. he recorded the intense encounter. . he was working as a park employee overseeing the clean up. >> i'm standing still. >> i got bail money. i don't give a [ bleep ]. leave her alone. it's her wedding night.

washington university. admission is free. you have to rsvp on our nbc washington app. today virginia senator mark werner joined in a push to protect women from sexual assaults on airplanes. the senators are urging federal agencies to strengthen airline requirements to make sure crews are trained to deal with sexual assault. the action follows media reports with firsthand accounts from women who were assaulted on planes by other the news 4 i-team uncovered a series of sexual assaults happening in the air back in 2014. and that no federal agency was formally keeping track. that included local cases where strangers groped female passengers. the fbi has closed almost 30 cases of sexual assaults on planes nationwide in the last three years.
