>> reporter: indeed it is. it is all in the name of safety. what we're looking at down here is this tunnel. this is where all of the attention is being focused. there is a train there with mock victims on it and smoke in the tunnel. the firefighters you see standing about here are waiting to go in and meet some of these people when they're brought out. they took a cart down to get some of the passengers off and they try to make these things as real as possible so they've been throwing a little curve. the operators are told there is a passenger on board of the train in labor. the operator has to try to calm people and get them off safely. that is what this is all about. this is at the southern avenue metro station. right on the line of d.c. and maryland. you have prince george's county. probably mpd involved in this. that is what it is all about. the scenarios, to make sure that things are safe and as real world as possible. you have 100 to 150 volunteers who are involved in this. 150 volunteers and actual first responders. they do these things and they

for donald trump as we move around here. i mean there, is no doubt trump is looking for another path, another state to flip and he has had i narrow path. he has to win florida, north carolina and ohio. it is pretty clear what hillary clinton's goal is. if she wins, florida, pennsylvania, the game is set and match. if she wins florida it is a done deal. forget anything else but she has numerous ways to get there. donald trump, a narrow path. got to sweep florida, north carolina and ohio and then he and i think they think that the other state is going to be michigan. they used to talk about pennsylvania. they now see that michigan is probably a better shot for them. pennsylvania, the clinton campaign has been on the ground in pennsylvania for months preparing for a last minute by the trump campaign. they haven't been as organized in michigan. so if there is going to be an upset in a blue state, michigan

color that covers the landscape now and it will be peak color for another day or so but the winds gusting around 20 miles an hour is going to bring some of the leaves down. right now, our temperatures are climbing into the 60s. it is in the low 60s, just about everywhere from the bay and across maryland and virginia into the shenandoah valley where most spots are right around 60 degrees. a bit of a chill in the mountains where it is holding around 50 degrees. invigorating weather to get in a hike. the only rain we have all throughout the nohe up around eastern new england but we're all dry around our region and storm team4 radar from the mountains to the bay and the atlantic beaches. it is a gorgeous day under way and a great day to get m a hike or a bike ride or a walk or a run. we'll have temperatures noon time, mid-60s, upper 60s, maybe briefly around 70 degrees by around 3:00 and then back down to the mid-60s around 4:00 and now that we're back to eastern standard time, we'll have the

it will be at 5:02. we do have peak color in the red zone along the 95 corridor in the north and west. that is going to be drifting into southern maryland, the eastern shore, much of virginia by next weekend, the peak color there, and then past peak already in many locations out in the mountains and especially the higher elevations past peak there now. and this photo was taken just yesterday along skyline drive. it is absolutely gorgeous there he share your pictures when you're out enjoying the autumn color on facebook, twitter and instagram. love seeing your autumn pictures, temperatures tomorrow will be in the 40s in the morning so a chilly start back to work and school. mid-60s tomorrow afternoon. then on election day here it will be chilly in the morning, we'll be in the 40s. the afternoon temperatures into the low 60s and staying dry, partly cloudy throughout the day. and 60s on wednesday and thursday for afternoon highs.
