at the types of changes officials are considering. adam, good morning. >> good morning. we're talking about a host of things from roads to transit to bridge improvements here. this is part of a statewide tour that state officials are doing all across the state of maryland. prince george's county and montgomery county get their chances to weigh in. so, what they're doing is they're looking for solutions for transportation options. again, we're talking about roads, transit, bridges, all across the area. one of the interesting proposals that is actually in here in a draft form is to widen the beltway from the american legion bridge down to the wood row wilson bridge, including an express toll lane as part of that. that is part of a draft plan that is in here, not necessarily going to happen, but these kinds of things are talked about right now. we talked about potential solutions with a montgomery county council member. take a listen. >> we need our governor to focus on metro.

15-year-old raquel narvaes was from greenbelt maryland. she was last seen leaving her home. she stopped taking her anxiety and depression medication. anyone who may have seen her or knows where she is is asked to call greenbelt police. this morning, a maryland woman remains in critical condition after a man tried to kill her. this happened on tuesday on harrington drive in keterring. prince george's county police say his girlfriend on fire after an argument. the woman managed to get out and run to a nearby school for help. it was a murder that horrified our area. a father accused of killing his 2-year-old daughter and her mother. today officials in prince george's county will unveil a nourl honor nashanti davis. she and her daughter cloe were shot and killed.

the unveiling will happen at 10:00 this morning. davis was a teacher at that school. crime in loudoun county is down, way down. not only is it the lowest in the region, it dropped 16% in the past three years. that is according to a new report by the metropolitan board of governments. this is the second year in a row that loudoun came in with the lowest numbers. the sheriff attributes t decline due to education, and hard work of the deputies. hillary clinton didn't win the presidency but it turns out it is the first loss of senator tim kaine's career. what the vp hopeful plans to do next, coming up. >> first, we check back in for your storm team4 forecast.

while others promised to be resilient. there were also protests outside the trump international hotel in northwest d.c. >> megan mcgrath is live there this morning. what are you seeing where you are right now? >> reporter: if you look behind me here, you can see we have added security outside the trump international hotel. the d.c. police officers parked along pennsylvania avenue right outside of a main entrance to the hotel. they've been here all night. just keeping an eye on things. 4:30 this morning, we saw anti-trump graffiti on the sidewalk outside of the hotel. look at this video. this is what we saw when we arrived here this morning. apparently left behind by some of the protester ease here last night. a worker was outside the main entrance to the hotel power washing the words from the pavement here. it appeared to me it may have been written in shower cream or shaving cream rather. it came off rather easily.

last night during protests. protesters unhappy about donald trump's victory. they gathered at several locations around town here at trump international hotel as well as there was that candlelight vigil held outside of the white house. that was a peaceful event. we've seen also demonstrations on the campus of american university. now, protesters say that president-elect donald trump does not represent their views. >> racism american ideals are about equality. >> what we're trying to do is organize together and unite whose voices will be silented in the next four years. >> and president-elect donald trump will meet with president obama at the white house today to discuss the transition of power. michelle obama will also meet

cincinnati police officer ray kensing accused of a fatal shooting of a black and unarmed motorist sam debose. he claimed he shot debose while being dragged by the car. prosecutors say his body camera footage and witness testimony don't back up his story. actor brad pitt has been allegations. they could not find any evidence of abuse. they did interviews with family members including his children. the allegations stemmed from an incident on a private jet in september. angelina jolie has filed for divorce against pitt seeking physical custody of their children. 5:16 right now, a canadian commercial diver may have -- may have discovered a lost decommissioned american nuclear bomb off canada's west coast.

divorce. a formal sentencing hearing is scheduled for february. >> this morning, a prince william county community is coming together to help a 6-year-old girl. a go fund me page is set-up to help lynn pham's daughter. she was killed over the weekend. brian yu shot her as she left work at a hair salon in gainesville. yu is the 6-year-old girl's father. the couple was set to appear in court this week for a custody hearing. yu has been chard construction crews are trying to figure out what caused part of a building they were working on to collapse. it happened on election night in northwest washington. crews had been excavating the building along 15th and f streets. it is not clear why the building collapsed later. the collapse sent dust and debris into the streets. we want to invite you to join us at the walk to end hiv.
