meanwhile, the president-elect and current president obama are working on diplomacy during this transition of power. donald trump and president obama say they will work together. the two met for the first time face to face during a private, 90 minute meeting in the oval office. trump called the president a good man and said he learned a lot during that meeting. the president-elect says his top three priorities will focus on immigration, healthcare, and jobs. >> to this developing story now out of the university of maryland. take a g l george. campus police say she is missing. she was last seen on wednesday afternoon on campus. her roommates tell police she may have a black and white camping back pack and a green canvas bag with her. if you know where she might be, call police. 5:03 is our time. an after school counselor senior in jail. megan mcgrath is live where authorities say the alleged abuse happened in montgomery

program held here at flower valley elementary school in rockville. a 21-year-old counselor, raul ramos is accused of inappropriately touching a 5-year-old girl enrolled in that program. ramos faces several charges, including sexual abuse of a minor. police say he worked in this privately run program called kids after hours. it is held inside the flower valley elementary school but the program is not a part now, investigators say the alleged abuse happened between the end of august and the end of october. ramos touched the girl more than once while playing tag. now, anyone who has concerns about the possibility of other children enrolled in the program being victims of abuse, you're asked to call investigators, here is the phone number,

a man stabbed multiple times in southeast and now police are looking for the person behind it. we can tell you this happened just before 2:00 this morning on the 2500 block of pennsylvania avenue. a man, multiple stab wounds taken to the hospital. no arrests in this case thus far. i'm erika gonzalez. >> thank you. 5:05 now. we're following a developing story out of the district where d.c. police are trying to find a suspect in a deadly shooting it happened before 7:00 last night on grant place right across the street from thomas elementary school. the victim was a man but we're working to gather more information from police. it was a new trial with new evidence but the same verdict. guilty. raminda cower is set to be sentenced in january. she came from tennessee to help her husband kill her ex-wife in germantown maryland in 2013.

breaking news around this time yesterday morning. the officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call in canonsburg when they were ambushed outside a home. nearly six hours later, officers found a man and a pregnant woman dead inside of the house. investigators think he shot the officers, killed his wife and killed himself. the court hearing is scheduled for the deadly slender man case. two wisconsin girls, both now 14, are charged as adults in t they're accused of stabbing their friend two years ago to please a fictional character, slender man. 5:14 now, cheers and chants for vice president elect mike pence as he returned to his home state of indiana on thursday. pence and his family were greeted with a warm welcome from a crowd of supporters. he is humbled by the outpouring

support or sos program. it helps teens recognize the signs of domestic violence and unhealthy relationships. the program also equips them with resources and places to go for help. school officials hope this will become a model for other schools throughout maryland. state and county leaders want more studies done on the 270 corridor. specifically, they want to figure out how to improve your commute. the leaders met last night to talk about a transportation this summer, governor larry hogan said he would ear mark $560 million for highway improvements. part of the improvements include i-270. there are 250,000 vehicles that travel on the interstate in montgomery county. concerns about another busy local road. route 270. the new mgm national casino opens last month.

we should tell you that first of all. this was a carriage, obviously filled with tourists, just took off. the horses were pulling it and they were spooked by a horn. a car horn. this happened during a protest against a pipeline in canada. the carriage demolished a fence. you can see it was right next to the sea wall. vancouver humane society says they were lucky nobody fell into the water when the horses took off. can you imagine?

on record around here, we were 11 and a half degrees warmer with no snow. obviously the whole winter focused on about a seven to ten day stretch in the middle to end days of january. even with all of the snow, we were barely one degree cooler than average. in february, not a lot of snow and a degree warmer than average. we had a way above average temperature and way above snow winter last year. again, what we're expecting this year comi minutes. what we're expecting for today is a mild start this morning. this cold front now a northwestern pennsylvania, that will be arriving here just after about lunch time today and you'll know when it goes by because the wind is really going to pick up behind it. here is future weather then for today. a clear sky today this morning. this ribbon of cloud cover, excuse me, that is the cold front coming through. about four and 5:00. so as i cough and stutter, here
