buried neighborhoods in west is headed our way to the rockies to the northeast, snow on the ground at thanks giving. parts of upstate new york got 40 inches of snow in the past two days. in colorado the ski resorts are happy after getting more than half a foot of fresh powder as they gear up for a big holiday weekend. doug says the same system is headed our way. is this going to be a travel mess, doug? >> i don't think so. the p the time this rain gets here is going to -- most of us will be at our destinations on thursday, that being thanksgiving. the travel days today and tomorrow fine weather wise. look at our radar right now. you can see there is nothing across our region. we're not seeing any rain in the area tonight. it would be snow if it was sfaling because temperatures in the 20s. here's a big storm system. this brought colorado snow

information about a suspect. new at 11:00, a man is in the hospital recovering after he was shot during a robbery tonight in prince george's county. it's near old branch avenue in clinton. the man was taking to the hospital in critical can be. a sketch of a man who police say tried to show or the nothing if i to two little girls playing that their neighborhood. a man who looks like this drove up to the girls earlier this month. he tried to get them to watch a pornographic videos. the girls are 8 and 11. they ran away and found an adult. the man was driving a dark colored sudan. veterinarians are monitoring a horse who spent more than an hour today buried up to its neck in mud. check it out. it took dozens of volunteers to help get it out of the trench.

of harford county. volunteers used a front end loader to lift the animal to safety. a school bus driver in tennessee sideswiped an oncoming car in september and one parent claims she's been warning the school about his driving for months. people gathered who remember the children who die school children on board when it hit a held phone pole and wrapped around a tree. a little girl died and her brother is still in intensive care. the children who survived were so traumatized it was hard to even tell who they were. >> many of them were unable to spell their names. did not know their birth dates. or even their parents' names. several said mama when they were

name was. >> investigators say the bus driver was speed and swerving wildly. he's been charged with five counts of vehicle homicide. there's an investigation for the crash. everyone is sending condolences. and donald trump tweeted the it was sad and terrible and these beautiful children will be remembered. at the live father people are facing charges in an illegal marijuana. three of the four suspects are in their 20s. the arrest was made in northwest washington. they had more than two pounds of marijuana on them. that's worth nearly $60,000 on the street.

hundreds of d.c. residents took home free turkeys today. the annual turkey give away took place at the dean wood community center. they gave out 500 free turkeys. the money came from several local nonprofits. >> check this out. more than 100 reports of a bright flash in the sky over florida. wow. that's impressive. one police officer's dash cam caught it on vi brighter than usual meteor. there have been no reports of damage. >> does that looks like a meteor for you? >> as a meteorologist, yes. most of those are as big as a grain of sand. it goes oh to fast it makes that much light. in that one might have been a little bit bigger. i want to show you that thanksgiving forecast one more time. a nice day. not perfect.
