following on social media. the women's march on washington. thousand of people say they want to attend the march the day after donald trump is sworn in. organizers are being forced to make changes. we'll tell why you in a few minutes. workers in montgomery county are calling for a higher minute minimum wage. they took the steps of the executive office building last night. they urged lawmakers to pass a bill that raises the minimum wage to $15 an hour by they question whether it would put them at an economic disadvantage. lawmakers vote on the increase to $15 next month. similar wage, minimum?i wag rallies broke out across the?i country. dozens of people were?? arreste during protests from new york to los angeles as workers called for that $15?i an hour minimum wage. airport employees and fast food workers were among the protesters that blocked busy intersections and chant out side airport term analyze.

what is the latest on his contention for secretary of state so far? >> still don't know. but clearly mitt romney is on that list and being seriously considered. they had dinner in new york. mr. trump and romney, mitt romney last night along with the chief of staff for mr. trump. they sat down together. they talked afterwards. mitt romney said that the conversations he's having with donald trump are enlightening and engaging. he said was impressed with the transition effort and people have been announcing so far as nominees for the cabinet are impressive. this is shaping up to be a solid group of people who can be effective and capable. very different words about a trump administration than we heard from mitt romney when he was actively campaigning against donald trump. now it looks like they're mending fences. whether or not it's enough for mitt romney to be named as his

that curfew in effect for an hour now. that is in gatlinburg. now this is the fire fighting continuing. in pigeon forge, we're hearing the mandatory evacuation was lifted. 500 people evacuated in the area already. more than 100 without a place to go right now. more than 150 buildings reported destroyed by these flames. all in all, 14 people were hurt. severe burns. more than 10,000 people though waking up this morning in the dark without power. it's a dire situation out there. >> for sure. thank you, angie. we're working to learn whether weather was a factor in a deadly crash. a woman died when her suv flipped last night. take a look at the scene. the car was upside down. look at that. the police say the woman lost control and someone hit the car

developing in fairfax county, police are looking for this man who is wanted for rape, abduction, and gang participation. he is 18-year-old ronald contreas. a 15-year-old girl says he raped her in a wooded area in july. investigators believe he is hiding but they say he is likely still in the u.s. and police are releasing more evidence in a case we told you about yesterday. take a look at these the grand hyatt hotel in d.c. police need help finding this man who they're calling a person of trchlt they say he is suspected of trying to sexually assault a woman inside that hotel on saturday night. they say he was armed with a knife at the time. if you recognize him, contact police. thousands and thousands of people are paying tribute to fidel castro. he died last week. last night there was a massive service to honor him.

it is a storm team 4 weather alert day. fog forecast all over our area. it is bound to create trouble on your commute. good morning, everybody. it is 5:00 a.m. >> we want to get right to storm team 4 meteorologist chuck bell so we can get you out the door. it is foggy out there, chuck. >> you bet. thick soup. >> what? >> yeah, stay t thick as soup outside this morning. level of visibility early on. steady rain coming our way. two chances for rain that will really slow thins down. first one is coming in just in time for the morning commute. the next one may impact the ride home. up near 70 degrees. gusty south winds and bursts of rain with a rumble or two of thunder. we'll dry out as we get towards the weekend number rain inside the beltway yet though.
