newest cabinet picks at the latest stop on his thank you tour. >> news 4 at 11:00 starts now. first a clearer picture of an incident that sent four people to the hospital in fair fax county tonight. >> two were shot outside of a home near a high school. jackie bensen brought us the breaking news live at 6:00 as it was unfolding. what else have you learned? >> reporter:re now live at the scene. you can see investigators still examining the area around this private home where the incident occurred this evening. now, we have learned this began as some type of argument. police say everyone involved knew each other. >> 9-1-1 calls reports of a possible shooting just after 5:00 p.m. the first responding police officers had to sort through a chaotic scene. >> can i tell you the incident

it was not inside the house. all parties are accounted for. interviews are being conducted. crime scene and detectives are on scene. >> reporter: police say two women ages 19 and 20 were found a short distance from the home, both shot. they were initially said to have critical injuries, but their conditions were upgraded. two others were found at the home. the older woman was treated for an unspecified medical condition. the younger woman was injured during the fight. happened outside the house and a gun has been recovered. back live now, you can see fair fax county police investigators on the front lawn of the house. police have not announced the arrest of a suspect, but they do say that no search is underway at this time. >> thank you very much, jackie. the rain is starting to move out of our area on storm team 4 radar.

in fact, doug said if it was just a bit colder, this would have dumped about a foot of snow. glad we're not there yet. >> i would have welcomed it. i would have loved it. a lot of people wanted to use the snow blowers. this was not snow. this was all rain. some locations got over an inch of rain. now you can see the rain moving out. radar showing it well. it was just a few hours ago. now moving o york, but our area just saw the rain. right now a couple of showers as we talked about earlier. a couple areas of light shower activity making its way through. we needed the rain and got it. over an inch of rain in d.c. over an inch of rain along 95. the rain much needed but it's out of here. rain ending tonight. not bad tomorrow. pretty good wednesday. but, boy, things change quickly. much colder late week.

i'll show you coming up in about 15 minutes? >> all right. thank you, doug. new tonight, allegations of patient abuse in the emergency department of a d.c. hospital. a woman says she was sexually assaulted by a hospital employee. shomari stone has new reaction. he's live at d.c. police head quarters. >> reporter: that's right. detectives are investigaing this case. the woman was a patient at southeast d.c. d.c. police arrested 51-year-old man charged with first degree sexual abuse of a patient. he was a employee. this past sunday police say he sexually assaulted a woman while she was receiving medical attention. he bonded out of jail. >> reporter: i talked to him on the phone. he says he did not sexually assault anyone. he denies the allegation. and he says his attorney has

hospital spokesman says it is a united medical center's policy not to comment on matters that are under investigation. the alleged situation that transpired on sunday is currently under review by members of the hospital's administrative team. the next court appearance is on december 16th. live in northwest d.c., i'm shomari stone, news 4. >> we learned the name of a man shot and killed in northeast d.c. eli crutchfield inside a home. he was shot multiple times. right now police don't have any suspects. a teenager from maryland says someone tried to kidnap her as she was walking to school in gaithersburg. patrols have been added to the area. she was walking to the bus stop. she says a man came up, told her

she screamed. he took off. the student told staff members who called police and sent a letter home to warn parents. comet ping-pong opened for the first time since a gunman stormed in over the weekend. nobody was hurt when edgar welch opened fire on sunday. he told police he went to the restaurant to self investigate a fake news story linked to the clinton campaign. welch is now facing two felony charges. neor comet ping-pong with business as a show of support in fact thousands are expected at an event on friday. the reward is growing for any information that helps detectives solve the murder of a democratic national free staffer. republican lobbyist jack burkeman is putting up more than $100,000 to find out who killed seth rich. d.c. police say rich was gunned

directly destroy our way of life. but we can do it for them if we lose track of who we are and the values that this nation was founded upon. >> the president never mentioned donald trump by name, but he did warn against fencing the country in and the use of torture as an interrogation tactic. the president also noted he is poised to become the first president to serve two full terms at war. out in oakland, firefighters fire. crews say they've searched about 90% of the building and started to knock down parts of it that are structurally unsound. they hope to finish up the sweep tonight. they now have identified 35 of the 36 victims, and they have notified about 30 of the families. fishes declared a local state of emergency and are looking for state and federal aid.

a white christmas are higher than the last couple of years. just kind of throwing that out there. we're not too far away. >> i don't remember that from the famous long range forecast. >> you weren't watching. let's look and show you how things are looking out there. we have some cloud cover that continues around the area. we saw the rain come through and, boy, did that rain come through. upwards of a half inch to an inch. over an inch in many locations. the rain. we were in the low 40s even in the upper 30s in some of the suburbs but now if rain is gone and we're up to 46 degrees. north winds at 10 miles per hour. gives us a little bit of a wind chill. we have risen along the i-95 corridor. to the west of the blue ridge, it's come up to 36. a lot of people worried about freezing over night. that's not going to be an issue in most areas if not the entire

can't rule out a stray shower or snow shower. we'll see a weather alert day for friday. the reason? 39 degrees for a high temperature here. and we're not just talking about temperatures. we're talking windchills. 30 degrees. 34 at noon. look at the winds. 10 to 20 miles per hour, and it feels like the 20s all day on friday. all day on saturday. but that's just cold shot number one. cold shot number two, even i'm going 30 far high next friday. many of the computer models have the temperature in the twenties for highs. that's close to record territory. that is something i will continue to watch for you. we haven't had a lot of weather alert days. two within the same week. >> not to be a brownnoser, but his long range forecast called for a colder than normal.

after an election cycle that has left my proof that words can heal just as much as they can hurt. a simple act done in secret in north texas. several communities reporting signs posted on mosques. carrying messages of friendship and solidarity. you belong. you are welcome here. you are loved. those are just some of the statements that have lifted up the community at one mosque the anonymous woman was caught in the act on surveillance video.
