no one was hurt. today the man accused of killing his estranged wife in ash burn will be sentenced. a a judge rejected a motion to set aside a guilty verdict. a jury recommended a a life sentence of 16 years. back in 2014 police say he broke into his wife's home and suffocated her. he staged the crime to look like a suicide. six years after two women were raped at today their attacker will be sentenced. this video shows him in the blue and white beanie looking for potential victims. this was on january 2010. he locked one of the victims inside of a restroom and raped her e repeatedly. he was previously sentenced to 90 years in prison after pleading guilty in 2010. he appealed and after a new trial this past october, he's

murdered 16-year-old girl from d.c. she was shot and killed on i street in southeast the day after thanksgiving. her family raised almost $10,000 to pay for the funeral. police say evans was caught on video firing a gun. around the time she was killed. so far he's only been charged with unlawful possession of a gun. national icon john glenn being remembered. he passed away in his home state of ohio at the age of 95. the former astronaut cemented his place in history when he became the first american to orbit the earth. he also spent 24 years serving in the u.s. senate and received the congressional gold medal and the presidential medal of freedom. glenn was the last survivor of the original mercury seven astronauts. glenn piloted the friendship 7
