news 4 has more on the rescue and landover. >> we're told that the rescue took place here in this wooded area, not too far from fedex field. apparently the boys got stuck in standing water with very soft mud on the bottom. they started screaming for help. someone heard those screams and alerted a nearby police officer. he was able to get one of the kids out, but the second boy, he was in too deep. that required what was called a technical rescue by the county fire department. they posted pictures of that rescue on their twitter feed. it took them about 15 minutes. able to get the second boy free. most of them about 10 or 11 years old. medics checked them out. they were just fine. taken home by the police. their expected to be okay and have quite a story to share tomorrow in school. in landover, darcy spencer, news 4. >> turning to spts

night. istanbul has a new normal. twin bombings less than a minute apart left more than 3 dozen dead and 150 wounded. the first attack a car bomb that struck riot police as they left a stadium following a soccer game. moments later, a suicide bombing at a nearby park. most casualties were police. the government quickly blamed kurdish separatists. a decade that will often puts police in cross hairs. police say they've arrested more than ten people, but turkey's enemies are many and recently attack set a grim background for turkey in the world. just this morning, turkey's interior minister delivered an angry speech. he railed against kurdish separatist calling them animals and pawns of the west. it's worth noting that kurdish parties are among turkey's strongest political opposition groups. back
