near the terminal. officials expect a lot of traffic congestion driving up to the airport, and they're warning travelers to avoid that cell phone lock, circling the terminal only adds to the backup, so they're suggesting your park in the short term garage. just in, cold to be vigilant this weekend. they have issued a joint intelligence bulletin saying isis supporters may be looking to target churches in the united states, europe, and canada. the bulletin tells federal, loegal, and state security officials to remain on alert. reading through the bullet right now. we'll have a live report on news 4 at 5:00. >> the search for europe's most wanted man is now over, but the terror threat in germany remains high after the deadly attack at a christmas market in berlin. anis amri, the man suspected of driving a truck into the market was killed by police in italy today, aan

agency released a video they say shows amri pledging alliance to the group. 12 pie died after he allegedly drove a truck into the market. now, security officials want to know if he had any help. >> reporter: this morning, italian investigators gathering evidence at the scene of the shootout. the most wanted man in europe, 24-year-old anis amri, dead, killed after he was asked for i.d. by italian police. officials say amri immediately pulled a gun and started firing. there is no doubt, italy's interior minister told reporters, that the dead man is amri. this is what officials believe amri did at the berlin christmas market. the truck on the left of your screen is a dark menace on the street awash in holiday lights. at 40 miles per hour, running over people and stalls in the market. german authorities say they found his fingerprints insde

italy was familiar territory to amri. after leaving his hometown in tunisia in 2011, amri spent more than three years in prison there for setting fire to a refugee center. a prison official tells nbc news he was violent but showed no signs of religious fundamentalism. at the market, back to business. returning here, an emotional moment for this woman, who like amri, is from tunisia. >> there's a kind of double sadness, but good people are everywhere, and bad people are also everywhere. >> the police officer injured in the shooting is recovering in an italian hospital. he's said to be in stable condition. and his injuries are not life threatening. here in berlin, german authorities are thanking their italian counterparts for all their support and cooperation and are saying they're very relieved he's no longer a

now back to you. back here in our area, police irfairfax county are looking into whether two deaths may be connected. on the first, a young man murdered at his home in springfield last night, and today, a woman was found dead just a couple miles away in burke, where police are calling it suspicious. let's get to darcy spencer, live. what are you seeing? >> well, fairfax county police tweeted out minutes ago that the homicide -- the murder that they're investigating here, the suspicious death is in fact a murder. that means there have been two homicides here in fairfish county since 8:00 last night. like you said, they may in fact be connected. this is cordwood court. this is where the second victim was found. a young woman. she was 22 years old. her body was found behind these houses here. apparently, leaning against a

a resident saw that body, called police, and they confirmed she was in fact dead. she had suffered trauma to her upper body. police say this mace be connected to the murder of henok yohannes. his body was found inside his home in springfield. like you said, that was about two miles away, just after 8:00 last night. heel also had trauma to his upper body. these two victims did know one another. >> the detectives actually were able to discover some things that made them feel or that appears to link to this case. we haven't confirmed that for a fact. it just appears to possibly be linked to the suspicious death today. >> so we're expecting to get additional information from fairfax county police on news 4 at 5 cloox, you'll hear from some of the friends and neighbors of the young man found dead in springfield last night. back to you. >> darsa spencer, thank you. >> storm team 4 is busy tracking the forecast for your holiday weekend so you can see from

saturday night, a man honked his horn when she didn't move quickly enough, got out of his car and then opened fire. >> we have been reporting on the video of this video of a white police officer wrestling a black woman to the ground. sparking outrage, now viewed well over 2.5 million times. the takedown happened in ft. worth, texas. the woman actually called police to say her neighbor had choked her 7-year-old son for littering in the neighborhood. things escalated after the officer asked her why she didn't teach her son not to litter. the officer is seen wrestling the woman to the ground. he arrests her and her two teenage daughters. the video appears to have some gaps in it, but the family's attorney says it wasn't edited. they just got a phone call that interrupted the feed. the mother is now considering a civil rights claim against the officer. >> it made me feel less of a parent that i couldn't pr

thousands of flight attendants have filed a grievance with american airlines and say their new uniforms are making them sick. the flight attendants say they have been getting rashes and skin blistering and suffing from wheezing, headaches and vertigo. they're a blend of polyester and wool. it's offering cotton versions to anyone who is sensitive to wool, and researchers are testing the packaging those uniforms came in. >> are you kids getting tech toys and video games for christmas? >> there will be lots of time to stare at those screens over the break. nbc's erica edwards shares some ways we can try to maintain a

ikea and other big retailers are cracking down on a troubling new trend. teenagers hiding out in stores overnight, and then posting videos of their adventures. >> they call it the sleep over challenge, but as miguel almaguer reports, it's serious business. kids could be charged with trespassing and even go to jail. >> tonight, we are going to try to sleep in ikea. >> the craze appears to have started with these two belgian teens. back in january, the best friends filmed themselves at their local ikea store, hiding in a closet until closing. then they spent the night ro roaming the store, bouncing
