new year's day in her bedroom. police say the girl shboy shot girl's mother. the boy is in critical condition. the girl attended howard high school and the school sent a letter home to parents yesterday saying it is providing support for students. a queen ann county deputy is improving after a deadly shooting last week. investigators say deputy ward hogan was shot in charleston. he was in a shoot-out with a man wod been in a physical dispute with his girlfriend. that man was shot and killed. the department posted a photo of hogan to facebook. he is now able to stand up with help. he is scheduled for another surgery this week which should be his last surgery for simt six to eight months. the search is on this morning for six puppies. the owner of the d.c. pups store in manassas say someone broke into the store and took the dog. security cameras were ripped

we've got some drizzle out there as we do have some rain falling. it's coming our way, getting closer. you can see on storm 4 radar, moving rapidly into virginia, just about to come into charleston. it will be into stafford, prince william, louden b, fairfax and the district over the next several hours. here is the hour by hour. 9:00 within moderate rain showers coming through these pockets of yellow. it will continue that way through your lunch hour. during the arch, it will start to move off to the north and east by 3:00, 4:00. we'll sigh it moving away and then we'll see lingering drizzle overnight tonight. how much rain? maybe up to an inch of rain. much of the region may get up to an inch of rain. that's just about everywhere around the region. right now, we're hovering in the low 40s. storm team 4 ten-day outlook, tomorrow, sunshine back and into the mid 50s. we might get light
