county. >> reporter: police are handling an active and very difficult situation here. about 3:15 they were called here for a stabbing that followed a disagreement that apparently began inside the mall. when they arrived officers found two men with life threatening stab wounds. police are currently attempting to find the suspects who could still be on the grounds of this enormous commercial property. at least one person has been stopped and questioned. we have video from chopper 4 showing drivers being stopped as they leave the property. police are checking their back seats and trunks to make sure a suspect has not hidden in there possibly without their knowledge. they did hear an order to leave the mall property. but given the enormous size of this property and multiple entrances we have seen people arrive, go into the mall and being told to leave again.

most of the cars have been ordered to leave. we are expecting the public information officer from montgomery county police on site shortly and we hope to have more information. a former prince george's county council member admits to lining his own pockets with taxpayer money. >> will campos plead guilty to taking tax money for county funds to organizations that would then send the money back to him. >> mr. campos's favorite charity was himself. >> our team coverage starts with bureau chief tracee wilkins. >> reporter: we've been saying since last thursday that we were expecting additional arrests in connection to the prince george's county liquor board investigation headed up by the fbi. and today we got one more. >> honest

nothing to fear. >> reporter: today it was revealed by the feds that for most of the time will campos served, he was taking bribes and participating in a pay to play scheme. >> his favorite charity was himself. >> reporter: he served in the prince george's county county council from 2004 to 2014 before winning a seat on the state legislature. police say during that time he received kick backs from businesses in exchange for county grants. >> the evidence in this case shows that william campos treated the taxpayers' money as if it were a little slush fund. >> reporter: campos was wearing a wire and under investigation by the facebook from 2012 to 2014. in a statement he said, i have been under federal investigation for bribery and conspiracy and have pleaded guilty to these charges. the investigation has been going on for years now. when i was first approached by the government, i immediately acknowledged my wrongdoing and have been

ever since. the u.s. attorney vowed that there are more arrests to come. >> there will be additional charges. there will be other people who are prosecuted. unfortunately we're not going to be able to tell you the details about those cases until the appropriate time. >> reporter: the u.s. attorney went onto say that if there are any elected officials or businesses in prince george's county that have accepted bribes, they need to come to the fbi before the fbi goes to them. i was talking with the chair of the prince george's county council, who said that he does not believe -- when i asked do you think that anybody else on this council is going to be arrested, he said i pray to god not. everyone sitting on the edge of their seats waiting to see where this investigation is going to

go next. scott macfarland is joining me now because he has looked at how will campos is connected to this investigation of the prince george's county liquor board. >> will campos is also a link between bribery and prince george's county and a vote in the state house in annapolis. the feds made clear they weren't going to explain everything about their growing corruption investigation. >> all i can tell you is this is an ongoing investigation. you're seeing bits and pieces. i'm not able to put a frame around the whole investigation for you. but as time goes on, there will be additional information that comes forward. >> our review of court filings shows the connection between the raid of the liquor board and the arrest of will campos. an fbi affidavits says the former head of the liquor board david sun helped secure a $3,000 bribe for a

the plea agreement said on the same date campos received a $3,000 bribe, it reads individual b and campos left the table and walked toward the bathroom. individual b then gave campos the $3,000 in the bathroom of the restaurant. the fbi said a state delegate, quote, sent a text message to sun saying that the sunday sales bill had passed and that the elected official supported it. so both david sun and will campos were arrested by the feds, both facing several years in prison. who's next?

>> reporter: the infant died of injuries that he suffered at home right here in this apartment complex on heather hollow circle. it was last october. but just yesterday his father was arrested and charged with first degree child abuse in connection with the death of his son. the special victims investigative division focused on what happened here in this apartment the morning of october 28th. the defendant, 20-year-old roger lee miller jr. called 911 to report that his infant son was unresponsive. the court charging documents say that 5 month old darryl lee burns suffered head trauma. the child's mother was at work. >> after an autopsy from children's medical center, it was found that there were

week. thieves are breaking into cars in loudoun county and making off with guns. the sheriff's office is asking residents to stop making it easy for crooks. >> reporter: this is a perfect example of how how easy it is. early december 8th on main street in round hill, surveillance cameras rolling as crooks open an unlocked door and get to work, stealing guns. >> they're in and out in less than a minute. they know where people hide things in their car. >> reporter: the criminals have snagged 20 guns out of mostly unlocked cars. >> it's happening everywhere in loudoun county. time frames, same thing. any time of day. early morning, afternoon, evening. >> reporter: deputies tell us the thieves are not only foc

nearby building that will also catch your eye. the old friendship baptist church. there was a death at the national zoo this weekend of a little bird called the guam kingfisher. this species is nearly extinct. just 145 remain on the planet. they're gravely endangered because of the brown tree snake. in no time it killed almost all of the guam kingfikingfishers. now that bird can only be found in zoos and conservation aviaries where they are trying to breed them. they live to the age of 15, but our little guy at the national zoo made it all the wato 17. y
