only effecting roads in the district, starting today the maryland highway administration is suspending all nonemergency lane closures. also today extra emergency response technicians will be out tohelp quickly remove disabled cars and crashes from the roads. new this morning we are hearing from a man who says he set a fire outside of the trump international hotel in the district. you can see that fire burning late last night on pennsylvania avenue. stone talks to a protester who said he was trying to light himself on fire. >> protesting the fact tat we've elected somebody who is completely incapable of respecting the kaunconstitution the united states. >> d.c. fire told us one person was taken from the scene with burns. they wouldn

for an accused killer is over. markeith lloyd was discovered in orlando yesterday. he was heavily armed. he is accused of killing two people including orlando police officer, master sergeant deborah clayton. they used the handcuffs of the slain officer when they arrested lloyd. and an officer was killed while searching for the suspect. today there will be a candle light vigil for a grandmother killed in the cross fire of a gun battle. she was killed in southeast d.c. on monday. the vigil is tonight at 7:00 at the same spot. they're asking witnesses to come forward. there are security cameras in that neighborhood. they're not saying whether they captured the shooter. they're also waiting for the medical examiner's report in the death of a 3-year-old boy. sterling moore stopped

inside the u.s. department of labor day care. according to a worker he choked on a meat ball at lunch time. he died at the hospital. his grandmother is demanding more answers. >> i'm angry. i'm very, very angry. i want some answers. i don't understand how you're saying he choked off a meat ball. >> the day care center released a statement saying they're devastated and working with police. a condemnation and a message of thanks. we are hearing strong reaction to president obama's action. he commuted hundreds of sentences including one for chelsea manning. the armory intelligence officer who leaked hundreds of thousands of documents. house speaker paul ryan called it a dangerous precedent. and edward snowden said thank you for what you did for everyone. stay strong a while longer. and they'll rule

president. to put those in perspective. barack obama's approval rating was 71% before he took the oath of office in january 2009. while bill clinton's was 77% in december of 1992. a poll didn't measure gorge w. bush's rating. before this poll, trump took to twiter to slam other polls. tweeting quote the same people who did the phoney election polls and were so wrong are now doing approval rating polls. they are rigged just like before end quote. the poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 1 to 3%. they are measuring current public opinion among all americans, not just voters or likely voters. back to you. if you want to attend any of the inauguration events. >> a look at what you

all electronic toll system that you won't stop at a toll booth. the computer system will read your easy pass in your car. >> the new tolls will allow single drivers to take the trip during peek time at a cost of 5 to $6. hov traffic will be able to travel for free. and there's a vote on extending the express lanes on 95. the commonwealth transportation board is expected to vote to extend the lanes to route 17 stafford county. construction could begin in 2019. the federal government is giving metro almost $2 million to improve the safety of its workers. the money will be used to outfit track workers with electronic bands which will alert them of any incoming trains. back in. october two people were nearly hit by a train.

this morning even though we have some fog. we're in about the 40s. some areas are in the 50s but the fog is a bit of a concern. so it's been pretty dense throughout the morning hours and now seeing some improvements. the fog will start to lift but i think some areas will still be running into it. we're still looking at less than half a mile in martinsberg. but much of the area is coming at three miles visibility. quantco is at a half mile visibility. don't be surprised if you run into that this morning. we're talking about mid-40s for most of the area. fredricsburg at 55 degrees this morning. for the morning commute, about a moderate impact, especially if you're leaving
