now with what officials are telling the public. >> reporter: yeah, they're saying that it's unlikely that ali would attack any humans, that she's probably more scared of you than you are of her, but the search is on. most likely she is in the woods here at rock creek park surrounding the zoo. the zoo does a head count of every animal several times throughout the day. they started this morning. she was there for breakfast. but when they came back about 10:30, she was gone. they have been looking for her, but there isn't a hard target search for her because they feel that would actually scare her further away. they've been putting out some bait food hoping that she'll just come back on her own. of course, bobcats are indigenous to this area. they say she is likely, because she's a predator she could want to go after small birds or small animals. but ur

the president calls his nominee unbelievably highly respected. he continues to support the temporary travel ban from seven muslim nations and says it was never intended to deport people. president trump also defended how quickly the order was implemented saying advanced notice would have allowed potentially dangerous people to flood into the country. he pushed back on the notion that the travel ban caused all the airport delay this is weekend. officials detained 109 people out of more than 300,000. he blamed delays on protesters and that computer out aage at delta air lines. >> many have criticized the travel ban. iraq's parliament also tried to pass a reciprocal ban on u.s. travelers to iraq but that did not become law. dozens of demonstrators and lawyers are again gathering at gu

and companies are reacting strongly to that travel ban, including the ceo of starbucks. in fact, howard schultz has promised to hire 10,000 refugees over the next five years. the plan is to bring them into stores around the world, fo focusing on immigrants who acts as interpreters. [000:05:32;00] lyft says it's donating a million dollars to the aclu. georgetown university told students and staffs from the affected count eed countries no the u.s. until that ban is fleshed out. if they have to travel abroad, they're being told to consult a immigration attorney first.

the nypd says it's increasing security around of that attack. the department says it is standing strong for the muslim community in light of recent attacks against mosques. you could soon be asked to pay more on metro and to wait longer for trains. the transit agency is dealing with a $290 million budget gap for the next fiscal year. to make some of that up, fares on trains and buses may climb anywhere from 10-25 cents. wait times would get longer for every line except the blue. the earliest any change would take effect is july. transportation reporter adam tuss is there and will have a live report in our next hour. i think any time we're comparing our weather to amusement park rides, we've got

a bit of a problem >> we started off with snow, system. tomorrow's clipper system is going to come through the area overnight tonight. that brings a dramatically different type of weather. out there right now it is a very chilly afternoon and a very chilly evening setting up right now. plenty of sunshine now after snow showers coming on through, snow shower after snow shower, man, it was pretty. temperatures right now currently in the 30s. we'll drop a little bit through 9:00 and through 11:00 down to about 31. first off, these are the current numbers, 36 in clinton. look at the windchill here.

we're still seeing winds gusting upwards of 20 miles an hour. as far as the snow showers, most of them really dissipating. you see a couple of them making their way towards southern maryland, the eastern shore. one of them right along 66 here that's just some flurries here. nothing of consequence and our region. here's the system that brought us those snow showers today after earlier snowfall. that was actually off toward the east. then a little system comes through with snow showers. now it's spinning up here towards minneapolis. you can see the snow out ahead of it. this is the wharm front. i'll break it down for you. tonight no problem around 7:00. 11:00 once again no worries. but then here comes that next system. you notice that moisture making its way our way. you're going to see cloud cover around 1:00. snow showers back to the north. down to hagerstown, frederick,

was gorgeous this morning. i fine but just beautiful the way it was on the trees. the sun is coming down right now after we had a few snow squalls roll through the region. i heard of some accidents up in pennsylvania where they had some whiteout conditions up along 83. we're just seeing that move offer to the eastern shore. i expect it to all die down after about sunset. we're seeing a northwest wind, 13 miles an hour. that means windchills are in the 20s. air temperatures in the 30s right now. we're going to fall into the 20s tonight. we also have a little bit of snow possible tomorrow morning for the commute. not everybody going to see it tomorrow morning. could also have a few rain showers mixed in as well. we'll show you that and we'll also show you next sunday with another possible snowstorm.

snow squalls are finally they push to the east. by the time we head into tomorrow morning we could have some more rain and snow, especially d.c. and areas north. then we get to wednesday and then we're quiet. but we're going to have to watch for tomorrow morning. we have not made it out of the 30s today. with the wind, it feels more like the 20s out there. the windchill temperature 28 here in washington. winds are coming down after about 7:00 tonight. 36 again is our temperature. we're going to fall into the 20s tonight with a light wind and more clouds filling in. tonight roads are going to be on the wet side. if you're going up towards pennsylvania, there could be some slick areas out that way.

but tuesday morning i-66 and areas to theno depending on how much snow we could have before daybreak. by tuesday night we're just going to be dry as winds pick up out of the south. here's a look at the radar right now. you can see those snow squalls moving out of here. all these are going to dissipate as we continue into the evening. at 4:00 a.m. just before daybreak, again mainly i-70 and north we could have a dusting on the ground. i'm going to keep it down from i-66 in virginia, route 50 in maryland. because if this slips a little south as we continue into the evening we could have a few rain/snow showers here in the greater washington area. if you're traveling from frederick county tomorrow morning, again, you could have a quick dusting on the ground. by the time we get to wednesday
