choice tonight. in about ten minutes edward lawrence will break down who's on the president's short list for that job. in prince george's county police are searching for the man who walked into a gas station and shot and killed another man. >> you can just hear the cries and anguish from heart broken family members who showed up to that station. police don't know what led to the shooting but say it happened at a busy time, 4:45 in the afternoon. they're looking at surveillance cameras to see if they captured what happened. this is the second homicide at that gas station in more than a year. in canada they're honoring the victims of a mass shooting inside a mosque. more than 1,000 people have placed candles and signs there to remember the six people who died. we now know a

evening prayers. some were fathers, one was a businessman, another a university professor. a 27-year-old college student was charged in that attack. alexandre bissonnette appeared at a hearing yesterday and will be back in court in three weeks. his peers described him as a loner with antti immigrant views. a second person detained after the shooting is no longer a suspe suspect. you may notice extra police officers around several mosques in fairfax county. the tweet used the hash tags engagement and building trust. police are asking for tips if you notice anything suspicious. take a look at your screen. this is 15-year-old from germantown, the police department is worried about christina edwards emotional and physical welfare. she's 5'6" tall

and brown eyes. if you see her call police. there's been a case of whooping cough. an e-mail went out yesterday suggesting parents monitor their children for signs of the illness. the school system also wants to make sure all immunizations are up to date. it's a bacterial disease that begins with cold symptoms and can be treated with antibiotics. a wild bob cat is likely wandering around the woods. she escaped her enclosure at the national zoo yesterday. there was a hole in the mesh fencing around her exhibit. they're hoping she'll come back on her own for food and shelter. until then if you do see her, don't try to get close. >> the reason we're asking you not to try to approach her, the less that you're likely to be attacked by her.

police are forced to act as immigration agents. >> we have seen the amount of emotion and fear and anxiety in all of our children. >> now, a guide on immigration policies is expected to go out to all d.c. charter schools tomorrow. renting out your home on airbnb and other sites could come with new restrictions in the district. a bill will be introduced today to limit hosts to renting out one unit at a time. it also calls for that rental to be in the host's permanent home. the goal of the measure is to prevent owners for using properties for short term rentals and cutting into the the supply of affordable housing. some lawmakers are trying to pave the way to make maryland the tenth jurisdiction to legalize marijuana. one of the mesh showers would make it legal for adults over 21 and regulate its production and sales similar to alcohol. the other would put

nonmedical marijuana which could bring in hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue to the state. marijuana is already decriminalized in mad mad. eig -- maryland. eight states already have some recreational weed. a man murdered three of his bosses and is still in the hospital this morning. he shot himself twice trying to run away from police on sunday morning. they say earlier that day he killed his bosses at the blue sunday bar and grill. sources say that shooting was a result of a work place dispute over money. people who work for that restaurant are still this disbelief. >> i've been shaking all day. i couldn't sleep last night. i know a lot of other people couldn't sleep, so it's hard. >> police believe he was a bartender at that newly opened restaurant. he is expected to survive and be charged. police say the community is safe after they found a man dead in an arlington county apartment. someone called police to that

apartment yesterday afternoon. officers found a 57-year-old dead inside. they say his death is suspicious but they're not giving many more details. investigators interviewed two witnesses. those people are said to be cooperating. the boy scouts of america says it's adopting to changing communities. the group will now allow transgender children who identify as boys to enroll in boys only programs. the enrollment will be based on the gender that's put on the child's scout application. the organization previously relied on the child's birth certificate. three people will begin a contest to win a car at the car show. they'll have to keep their hands on the car until february 5th at noon. the winner will drive off in a hyundai tucson. the winner will be decided by a random key drawing if there's more than one

we are dealing with just a little light snow chance early this morning. really right along the pennsylvania/maryland border here up in the mountains of west virginia. not many of those are going to live east of the mountains and i don't think we'll have to worry about that at all in and around the city. a few flurries around, farther north you live or travel the more likely to see a few flakes this morning. everybody gets a nice south to southeast wind later on this afternoon. it will make it a milder wind today. not much of a rain chance, but rain chances tomorrow generally 30% or less later on in the day. now, sunday keeping a little more close eye on sunday. still not a lot of confidence in exactly what we're going to be facing but it could be a rain/snow combination, particularly late sunday night into early monday. we'll worry about that as we get closer. for now, the details of the day come from sheena. >> temperatures, are cold this morning, the wind making them feel colder. everyone is feeling at or
