paris at one of the biggest tourist attractions in france. erika gonzales is at the live desk for us. >> new information just into the live desk about this serious security incident taking place at the louvre in paris. let's go back to these live images. the scene looking quiet. that's because that area has been evacuated. there is no extra security on scene. confirmed reports that a soldier opened fire on an alleged attacker. we are hearing that that suspect was trying to enter the famous museum with a knife. the soldier, we understand is wounded and fired on that suspect multiple times. again, a man trying to interthe louvre with a knife and came into an altercation with a soldier that tried to stop him from entering. no word yet on the extent of the

good morning. >> reporter: well, good morning. it was just a brutal murder. the family and their housekeeper held hostage and ultimately killed inside the family's northwest mansion. police say the suspect deron went then set the mansion on fire. later today he's expected in court for a hearing. a trial date could be set today. the crime happened in may of 2015. prosecutors say they have dna evidence that puts him inside the mansion. they say that there is also evidence that the victims were tied up and possibly tortured before the -- before they were killed. now, the prosecution has wanted to go to trial to set a date for some time now, but the defense has asked for more time to test dna and other evidence and that request was granted. the court date pushed to today. now, deron went has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him. again, he is due in court later

he left his home yesterday morning around 9:00 to take a morning walk but he never returned. he was wearing the same black and white plaid flannel shirt that you see in this picture here along with jeans. police say he has dementia. there is a reward for information about a bethesda man missing since december. that is the last time john donohoe's family saw or heard from him. they're offering a $25,000 reward for anyone that can help find him. montgomery county police said a woman was caught on surveillance video using his credit card on december 22nd. police have not said whether she is linked to his disappearance. a cyber attack targeted surveillance attacks here in the district and two people are in custody in connection with this case. those people were arrested in london. one man is british, the other person a swedish woman. the post says they hacked into almost two thirds of the district's 187 cameras days before the

we did have a crash on the right side of the roadway and that has left the area. a look at the beltway coming up. if mexican drug lord el chapo guzman is convicted he may spend the rest of his life behind bars. he was extradited to the u.s. after he was captured in mexico. prosecutors agreed not to seek the death penalty. guzman has pled not guilty to drug manufacturing and distribution charges over the last 25 years. a suspected high school shooting plot has been foiled by a parent who listened and spoke up. two students in fullerton, california, have been arrested. police say a parent overheard the students talking in detail at a sporting event. the parents snapped a photo and reported them to a school resource officer. the two had searched on line for fire arms and information on previous school shootings. no

if you normally take metro we're working to find out more about the six stations that are going to be closed and could have a major impact on you this we weekend. >> reporter: planning ahead is going to be your best bet, especially if your travel plans include the orange, blue or silver lines. let's break this all down for you here. those six stations closing for weekend repair are on your screen. so saturday and sunday, free shuttle buses will be replacing trains between the eastern market and foggy bottom stations. also the plaza and metro center stops will host yellow and green sur service only. and riders traveling between virginia and d.c. you're advised to take the yellow line and switch on to the red line for downtown d.c. ser

you can follow him on twitter. now the fbi is now getting involved in a series of robberies at drugstores in maryland. four men were taken into custody yesterday near a cvs in silver springs. they were trying to rob the store, but there have been about 20 robberies at cvss and rite aids. if they are connected they could go to federal court for prosecution. police and the fbi are working to nab the man they say robbed one bank and then tried to rob another. they say both of the incidents happened yesterday at td banks. the banks are located on rhode island avenue northeast and 7th street in chinatown. he escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash at one of those banks. no one was hurt. >> an alleged serial groper who's been arrested more than 70 times will stay off the streets for now. we told you about him last week

gaithersburg, dulles at 22, quantico coming in at 36 degrees and it feels like 29 in the district, but if you look up to the north and west, they have single digit windchills right now and here's a look at our future feels like temperatures as we go into this afternoon. feeling more like the mid to upper 30s i think through most of the area but then we go into tonight. here's 9:00 p.m. for tonight. your friday night plans, look how cold it's going to start to field. gaithersburg could feel like the upper teens. the district feeling like the mid-20s. then we go into tomorrow morning starting off your saturday. we have those windchills in the teens in many areas so keep that in mind before you head out. future weather here showing us staying dry today. cold tomorrow afternoon too. but then we go into sunday and we get more of that southwest wind that's going to push temperatures closer to 50. super bowl plans looking good. staying dry. the snow staying away, so here is a look at the forecast if you have plans locally to go watch

morning about those liquid laundry packets that you may use. the number of eye injuries linked to these packets is skyrocketing. the injuries happen when adults and children pop them, getting the detergent in their eyes and that can lead to chemical burns and in some cases, vision loss. millions are suffering from substance disorders related to prescription opioid pills. hundreds of thousands are hooked on heroin and now there's concern that first responders across the nation don't have access to the life saving drugs used to treat heroin overdoses. the cost of the anti overdose drug is skyrocketing. so is the cost of dextrose and epinephrine used to treat allergy and asthma attacks. they're either hard to come by or hard to afford and that has first responders concerned. >> there are medications within our national interest to have available. i don't think we would accept as a society that we could not resuscitate a cardiac
