a partlafternoon. there's a small chance for rain today, but probably not until after 7:00 and really probably a little bit closer to midnight tonight and then into tomorrow and super mild weather coming our way later in the week. cold and dry here this morning. a risk of maybe a drop or two late in the day. your outdoor plans may be impacted by rain drops but man is it going to be warm. >> it is going to be warm. it's going to be a nice day as we go through the day today and even tomorrow. we're talking about 60 degree temperatures in the forecast tomorrow and wednesday. that is unseasonably warm for this time of the year. take a look at the temperature currently. 35 degrees in the district. by 7:00 a.m. it's going to be cold enough for a warm jacket so right around 37 degrees but then we get closer to noon, closer to 50 degrees and then we go through the afternoon. look at that, 56 degrees, a milder day today but in the

ready to step outside we have freezing. we do have an issue out there on the roadways. >> chopper 4 over this problem. this is northbound bw parkway right before 198 so you can see as chopper zooms out quite a delay here this morning. a couple of disabled vehicles on the right side of the roadway causing the problem and perhaps a disabled vehicle somewhere in that big mess of a backup there. so it is slow. 95 north at franconia springfield parkway, a crash there as well. that is on the left shoulder. we have debris also in the left lane. 270 northbound and southbound looking good. a little slow 270 southbound. very typical for this time of day. beltway looks okay and bottom of the beltway here, all of these routes into town and out of town are just fine. travel times for you in ten minutes. thank you. .

the new president. travel ban, argument that it would unleash chaos. >> it is a back and forth battle. here's where the ban stands now. a federal appeals court denied the white house's request to immediately reinstate the travel ban. for now, airports are operating as if the executive order never existed. the president defended the order's rollout in his super bowl interview. >> you wouldn't do anything differently if you had to go over again? some of your people didn't really know what the order was. >> that's not what general kelly said. generally kelly said he totally knew, he was aware of it and it was very smooth. it was 109 people. >> president trump was also critical of the seattle district judge who overturned his order calling him a quote, so-called judge and tweeting cannot believe a judge would put our country in such

for a run in fficials say foren led police to the suspect. a group of new york city subway riders came together to erase messages of hate. a bottle of hand sanitizer was used to wipe away swastikas. an attorney posted these images. it took passengers a couple of minutes to wipe away those symbols. queen elizabeth ii is celebrating a milestone today. 65 years on the throne which is her sapphire jubilee there will be a royal gun salute in london to honor the queen. she became queen when she was 25 years old. celebrations continue in new england after the patriots' historic win last night. screaming fans poured into the streets, the ones that hadn't gone home yet. the pats scored the 31 points of

fraternity. caleb died after allegedly being choked by his fraternity brother. this happened saturday night in a residential area off campus. the school says the community is devastated. >> our hearts are broken when something like this happens. it's just tragic and horrible for all involved. and we're continuing to provide support, of course, to the family and to all of the greek community that was involved as well as friends and the entire university community. >> he's being held on aggravated assault and will likely face more charges. get ready because metro's maintenance work is coming back. safe track surge 12 will begin saturday on the blue line. no trains will run between roz lynn and the pentagon stations. arlington cemetery station will also be closed. expect to see yellow plus trains. new parking app? >> thank you.

business owners say about a new pay to park system at the reston town center. a group of merchants is now considering a possible lawsuit over this system. >> reporter: good morning, guys. in this parking garage you pay to park through an app. if you're going to park on the street here you pay to park through an app. there's a sign that's posted right next to where we are parked that says two hour parking max, $3 per hour and credit card only. later today merchants here, they'll be meeting to discuss their next steps. we're hearing that includes the possibility of filing a lawsuit. all over this parking app that some blame for a loss of sales here. some ten to 50% we're hearing. and the complaints include confusion over this parking app that they say does not work well. and noui
