ago about someone near to me. a growing number of families are being affected just like mine. few people are as close to death every day lawrence meadows. he's the co-owner of a funeral home in spartanburg, south carolina. it's a callg guided by a faith he had since he was a boy. at this church, he's not just a member, he's t pastor. >> we ought to take time out of our schedule and pray sometimes. >> all his life, he's been active and healthy. i know beu ve known him all my life. lawrence is my older brother. but now at the age of 39, he's been diagnosed with stage iv colon cancer. i could not get my head around it being you because you've always been -- no spoking, no drinking. >> yeah. >> no partying. >> yeah, i was like, man, god. i should have drunking and smoking and doing all that other stuff if i'm going to have the diagnosis.

the other stuff in too. >> that's lawrence in his funeral ho talking about a potentially deadly diagnosis but doing what he's done since we were little cracki jokes. his doctor removed a baseball sized tumor from his abdomen. but the cancer has spread. now he spends a lot of time at the cancer center in houston. >> this is the lining of the abdomen. >> his doctor says he is seeing a troubling trend with early onset cases, meaning patients under 45. >> we're expecting the incidents will contin to rise and may increase by about 50% over the next 15 years. >> the doctor says african-amerire twice as likely to develop early onset colon cancer as whites. and there's a white gap in the survival rates. what's most troubling is experts can't figure o why. they have detected gti

career on what happened there? >> i was in the lobby and getting interviewed. they asked, when did you get over sochi? i'm like, i didn't. you don't. to be honest, it is like falling off the bike and you have the scar from it. it is a part of you. it's something to learn from. i'm definitely learning, and i'm back. >> some of your moves have become the gold standard, as we say. do you have anything new that you are cooking up in your brain that you might show us in korea? there plenty of things. i'm heading there for a test event in the next couple of days to compete. a lot of new tricks. i don't want to spill the beans just yet, but a lot of new stuff that's coming. i'm feeling stronger than ever, more focused. should be a great one. >> there's a lot of experimenting and innovating that goes on as we're talking about in your line of the work. we were just talking, how do you handle a run right after a run where you have crashed horribly? how do you get back on the board? >> good question. >> in the heat of the moment, i'm pretty -- i'm probably very
