and make a right. >> reporter: gridlock lasting for miles and hours. >> i'm concerned about getting out. >> reporter: with the massive reservoir at over 100% capacity engineers spotted an erosion scar near the spillway. the lake holds enough water to cover the entire state of connecticut in a foot of water, the tallest dam in the nation sits above the counties. the spillway releases water to free up storage space was damaged last week. now a scramble to get it fixed before the next storm and more rain. first this morning water officials plan to use an army of helicopters and boulders to shore up the emergency spillway. what may be the best hope to prevent a disaster that may be looming. at one point officials said if
