we start tonight with the latest developments on that crash at a mardi gras parade in new orleans. police say the driver who plowed into the crowd injuring dozens was drunk. with a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit, and nbc is working the very latest on this story. >> reporter: a frightening and chaotic scene in new orleans last night when a pickup truck plowed into a crowd attending a mardi gras parade. >> when i heard the impact over here, i seen the truck hitting people on the ground, coming through the crowd. >> reporter: 21 in the hospital, three remaining hospitalized overnight, including a female police officer. no one was killed. the crash is the result of a suspected drunk driver identified as 25-year-old neilson, he stroke other vehicles and veered into the crowd before crashing his truck. he faces several charges related to causing serious injuries with

paxton, and beloved tv judge die today, his family confirmed he passed away in his sleep. judge wapner was hoptsized a week ago and was under hospice care and known as the no nonsense judge in the "people's court," a real a judge, spending 20 years on the bench in los angeles. he was 97. president trump's job approval rating stands at just 44%, and that's a record low for a newly inaugurated president. this information is from the latest nbc news "wall street journal" poll finding that also 48% of americans disapprove of the job he's doing. half said early challenges suggest systematic problems within his administration. the poll has a margin error of 3.1%. and meanwhile, the day, the officials said the president has no plans to cut social security or ca

a marine from fort mead died after a hit-and-run crash friday night. james waldon was riding his motorcycle when witnesses say a bmw crossed the center line hitting him. when police got to the scene, the driver of the bmw took off. they found him hiding nearby. charges pending. news 4 told you about i.c.e. arresting latino men who just left a church shelter in fairfax county this month. after our story aired, virginia governor promised a response, and, today, he got that chance. the governor is the chairman of the national governor's association. he's hosting nearly every governor in the country. this morning, he talked to dhs secretary, john kelly. he got assurances about the i.c.e. raids. >>ne

for the second weekend in a row, vandals have targeted a jewish cemetery. this time, the vandals knocked over more than a hundred headstones in philadelphia. this morning, a man told police three headstones belonging to his relatives were damaged. officers then found about a hundred more knocked over. no arrests have been made, and police have not released any in

vandals damaged 154 headstones in a jewish cemetery in missouri. he's considered the father of african-american history. now, we are getting a look inside the historic home of dr. carter g. woodson right here in d.c. the three-story victorian row house is on 9th street and shaw, built in the 1890s. he was a harvard educated historian. before him, there was little accurate written history about black life in america. woodson founded in association to educate the public about the historical and cultural contributions of african-americans. he lived there until his death in 1950. it's going to be open to the public after the restoration's are completed. d.c. streetcars have been running along the a-street corridor for a year now. believe that? we are taking a closer look how the project is working and plans for the future. this is where derekrd

and wednesday, but as that happens, there is the chance for showers, and maybe thunderstorms on wednesday. you want to have the umbrella handy. dry time, though, as well, and wednesday, we'll have high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. near record warmth in the forecast as we begin march. this unusual weather setting records. as of right now, d.c. is the warmest february on record, and we're set to be the third or 40 warmer winter on record, but we're also right now the driest february here in the district, so we could certainly use the rain, and, again, there are rain chances in the forecast, but we're not looking at a lot of rain to necessarily fall across the area. currently, though, it's chilly out there, as it should be for late february. we're coming in, for the most part in the 40s, but winchester already into the 30s, 39 degrees, washington at 46, and waking up tomorrow to 36 at 7:00 a.m. make sure the kids h
