tomorrow. chance of rain both really early in the morning or late in the day. so most of the daylight hours will be on the dry side but it will be milder. by wednesday, super warm and windy. temperatures could be in the mid to upper 70s on wednesday, but just like on saturday, that may come with a chance for rain showers or even some strong to severe thunderstorms. we'll worry about that in the extended forecast. >> you'll need your warm jacket as we go through the morning hours especially in many locations with we have 20s. 25 dulles, so a little confusing this week. saturday was a warmer day, sunday was quite a bit colder and this morning we're starting out with those cold temperatures. so here's what's going to happen through the afternoon. by 10:00 a.m. we do start to get back into the 40s. by lunchtime we're already in the low 50s.

us live right now. police especially worried after learning who her cousin is. >> reporter: for sure. first another look at the 18-year-old. she's 18. she was last seen leaving her job at a chinese restaurant. she has not been heard from since. she left before her actual clockout time here. she's 5'3". last seen wearing a tan shirt and skirt. gray jacket and black boots. the odd thing here, police say that her cousin is the 15-year-old found dead earlier this month in springfield, virginia, after going missing in december. reyes' family feared she was a target of the gang ms 13 and ten people have been linked to her disappearance and also gang activity. we are told that she may be somewhere in the new jersey

air strike. he's one of eight fighters killed. this according to the taliban's spokesman. in the past he oversaw the group's offensive. he was declared dead several times. eight times before but this time is different. the first time that a top official with the militant organization has confirmed the death. back to you. today students will return to savoy elementary school in southeast washington. you remember the school was shut down for weeks after a major bedbug and rodent outbreak. students attended classes at another school. all soft materials in the school have been replaced after a thorough cleaning of the entire facility. d.c. united is another step closer to having another stadium. the official ground breaking ceremony will happen today. the zoning commission gave the team final

other things happened in the awards last night. casey affleck won for best actor for manchester by the sea. it's something he did not win a sag award for, so people were happy that he won that one. also, viola davis winning the triple crown of awards. she has a tony, she has an oscar and an 'emmy. the oscar coming last night for "fences." so a lot to be celebrated aside from the big mistake that everyone's talking about. >> yes, something everyone's going to try to figure out still. thanks so much. and you know, i think warren beatty is taking a lot of heat for it but you can tell he didn't want to read it. >> he said after wards, you saw me hesitate. that's why because i wasn't sure. >> and i think jessica has a good point. why didn't they rush on

that is the latest now from chinatown. back to you. thank you. it's 6:34 now. the naylor road metro station is now open after two teenagers were shot there over the weekend. the teens were waiting for a bus around 2:00 a.m. when someone shot at them. a 15-year-old boy was seriously hurt. a 16-year-old girl was also shot and expected to survive. no one has been arrested. the suspect killed during a police shooting in the district had a long criminal history. police say that tennessee williams tried to run from officers on thursday night. there was a struggle before gun fire was exchanged. according to court records williams has been in trouble with the law since 1989. it included an eight-year prison sentence where he crashed a stolen car into a montgomery county police cruiser. one of the two officers shot is now out of the hospital. the man

killed the lion sisters won't be going to trial any time soon. this is a story that affected our area for more than 40 years. the trial has been moved to september. it was supposed to begin in april. he's accused of murdering the 12-year-old and the 10-year-old in 1975. they were last seen walking near a mall. they never made it home and their bodies have never been found. if you're a federal worker some of your coworkers may be surfing pornography on the job. the news 4 i-team is getting information about punishment. and a cold start here early this morning and since it's monday i know you're already thinking about the weekend. i'm optimistic that both saturday and sunday will be filled with sunshine, but between now and then we've got more big warmups and another chance for severe weathe stay wir.th

capitol hill to investigate russian hacking during the campaign and any possible connections at the highest level of government. republican congressman joined the call to have a special prosecutor investigate it. right now the congressional intelligence committees are investigating the issue. you pay your taxes so tens of thousands of people can earn a paycheck from uncle sam but some people are wasting time searching websites they shouldn't be. the i-team shows us why looking at pornography at work isn't uncommon. >> not everyone in the office is actually focused on the job. using the freedom of information act we pulled records from nearly a dozen federal agencies and in those records found more than 100 cases in the past five years in which federal employees spent egregious amounts of their work days searching porn, doing so on the clock on their work computers some of them for hours a day each day. the 100 cases were so severe

jennifer live for us in hollywood. >> reporter: good morning. it did seem like they were up there on stage for such a long time giving their acceptance speeches before it was corrected but it was immediate. it happened during the live broadcast which was a good thing, but boy, at the governor's ball it was all anybody was talking about. various parties all around hollywood. everybody was discussing what could have gone wrong. we hear that martin short was working on a very, very good impression of warren beatty and recruiting different actresses around the room to help him out with the impression that will likely be done over and over for weeks to come. it's great comedy, but you know, jessica tweeted you know, what a bummer that the crew for "moonlight" didn't get

below freezing this morning. mid to upper 20s for much of montgomery and frederick counties. near the freezing mark out here towards front royal and winchester, so a cold start to the day and clouds increasing during the course of the afternoon. not a 100% dry day. we'll call it 59 degrees. rain chances only 30% or so. a lot of moisture back down to our west and southwest. a few lonesome snow flakes. temperatures in the 50 ss so wee not worrying about that. maybe a hit or miss sprinkle or a light rain shower here primarily for areas north and west of the d.c. metro up into the valley and the panhandle of west virginia. mostly cloudy and rain chances gradually increasing as we go to tonight and tomorrow and wednesday. on wednesday we could have a threat for severe weather.

we will be watching very closely. temperatures are going to shoot back up into the 70s. approaching storms and with the warmup that's going to fuel some of these thunderstorms so we will be at an increased risk for storms and severe weather. the yellow shaded area, this is showing you the most likely spot where we could see strong to severe storms so that contains damaging winds possibly near 60 miles an hour. can't rule out an isolated tornado. tomorrow morning chance of an isolated shower. now we look at wednesday. 8:00 in the morning could see some thunderstorms over the higher elevations near the valley as well. by 4:00 p.m. wednesday there is a line of storms approaching the district. by 9:00 p.m. could see another chance of that. so we'll be watching that closely. >> all right. wednesday will be a weather alert day at storm team 4. we'll keep you ahead
