all of the damage that was caused by this tree that fell on spring. but now i want to show you some video that we shot earlier from the rear of this house, from the neighbor's house. you can see the root of this tree, massive root ball that was pulled out of the ground before this tree fell onto this neighbor's house. that tree was in the next door neighbor's backyard but fell onto his neighbor's home. his neighbor was outside of the house when that tree came down. in fact, he was standing right where i'm standing right now. he said he heard the tree hit his chimney. when he turned around he saw his house being crushed. this=éb is just one of several houses that were damaged today, as well as cars that were in accidents. transformers down. wires down. coming up at 5:00, you'll hear from neighbors who watched this tree fall down and you'll hear from montgomery fire

were on code red an hour this afternoon during the worst of the storm. live in montgomery county, mark seagraves, news4. >> you can see why. we are getting another look at some of the storm damage in montgomery county thanks to chopper 4. this is the scene over gaithersburg and crews are trying to clear trees that fell on the power lines. if you have our weather app you know we sent you warnings to your phone before the storm arrived. >> the storms left devastation in the ñ#wmidwest. at least three people are dead including one in missouri. and two in illinois. a 76-year-old man was crushed in a falling tree 90 minutes outside of chicago. the storm system spawned several tornadoes and left a

international law enforcement agencies. now the defendants were arrested overnight and todayipv= in a la enforcement operation coordinated by the fbi. the arrest took place in new york, los angeles, as well as >> it was the art of deception and human nature that allowed the criminals to carry out their illegal activity by exploiting individuals that trusted they were dealing with business people. >> reporter: these alleged schemes exposed included online vehicle fraud where scammers actually falsely advertised cars for sale they didn't own and buys unknowingly wired money to fake accounts. business e-mail compromise scheme. here, the criminals posed as executive employees and convinced lower level employees to wire money to their company in fake bank accounts. two other fraudulent practices included unlicensed money transmitting network and international money laundering

all of these schemes they stole more than $13 million from more than 170 victims, primarily all in the united states. if convicted, the suspects face about ten years in prison and millions of dollars in fines. this is one of those things for victims it really is kind -- we do these scams all the time and you think when you report them they don't go anywhere but they do now now proof with the fbi in this massive sting. >> this was pretty high level stuff as well. >> huge thing. and more to follow. >> thank you, susan. >> sure. we are not the only ones who just saw rough weather. almost a hundred million people across the country saw these storms. a look at the cleanup and where the weather took a tragic turn. the worst may be behind us but there is still a lot to talk about for storm team 4. more rain and a drop in the mercury.
