who actually called ç911. >> reporter: single story wood frame house smoldering hours after the fire reported, about 9:15 when neighbors realized it was burning. >> i smelled smoke. i checked around our house to see if it was inside our house. >> reporter: it was the naeb's house next door. >> it was dark smoke, the flames, and that's when i got concerned. >> reporter: diali ining 911, someone was inside. i looked in the window. i don't know if it was a neighbor, but they were trying to call somebody inside the house. >> reporter: firefighters got inside the house, and they found the person dead inside. investigators were trying to determine what started the fire and if the fire was the cause of death. family and friends began gathering at the scene overcome by grief when they realized rescue became recovery. a woman

authorities have not identified the victim. news 4. the white house is asking congress to investigate after president trump tweeted that the previous administration wiretapped trump tower last year. trump offering no evidence of that. former white house officials and president obama's director of national intelligence say that did not happen. nbc's jennifer johnson breaks it all down for us. >> reporter: another working weekend for president trump at his florida golf course. as a fire brews in washington over tweets saturday accusing president obama of wiretapping trump tower near the end of the 2016 campaign. one said, how low has president obama gone to tap my phones. this is nixoy, watergate, bad, or sick guy. the head of national intelligence denied it happened. >> there was no such wiretap activity mounted against the

candidate, or against his campaign. >> reporter: the white house wants a congressional investigation. >> if it is, this is the greatest overreach in the greatest abuse of power that we've seen and a huge attack on democracy itself. >> reporter: former obama administration officials say the tweets divert tension away from accusations that jeff sessions and others had contact with russian officials in the campaign. one calls it a page out of trump crisis management playbook. >> that is simply to tweet or say something outrageous to distract from the scandal, and the bigger the scandal, the more outrageous the tweets. >> reporter: the intelligence committee said this is the first time they heard of it. >> i've never heard the allegation made before by anybody. i've never seen anything about that anywhere before. >> reporter: the house intelligence committee chair says that panel will invest gait the president's allegations. on monday, the president is expected to sign his revised travel ban, replacing his january 27th executive order that did not hold

the security guard here at the store at 2:30 yesterday afternoon. police say they identified him through an unrelated domestic call earlier that day. now, police tell us a second loss prevention employee, or two of them, saw kingsbury shoplifting and tried to stop him as he left the store, and that's when there was a struggle. one of the employees, 44-year-old larry drumgal, was stabbed and later died. shoppers we spoke to today said they had no idea that this had even happened. >> i didn't know anything about it. i'm new to the area as well, so, not really the kind of news i like to get being new to the area, but hopefully they find who is responsible and justice will be brought to the courtrooms. >> a lot going on in the world today. we really have to be careful. no respect for human beings. that someone would be shoplifting, get caught, and just want to stab somebody. much prayer needed

we start tonight with breaking news. according to report from the "washington post," redskins linebacker, trent murphy, has a four-game suspension for violating the nfl's policy on performance enhancing drugs. here's appealing the suspension reportedly, coming off a big career, nine sacks, and rereached out to the redskins and awaiting a response. in the meantime, the redskins' front office is busy to shape the franchise for the future. jay gruden signed a two-year contract

been in contact who have not given official confirmation yet, on the heels of cousins and general manager from this weekend's combine. gruden had two years left on the five year deal, and this is the first time an owner extended a head coach since buying the team in 1999. actually, no coach has lasted more than four years under snider. now, a little more on jay gruden, hired in 2014, spent three seasons as the head coach, one playoff appearance that lost against the seahawks a couple years ago, and redskins, of course, close to the post season this year, the record with the burgundy and gold, 21-27-1. the wizards have one of the best home records in the league, but lost two of the last three games at the verizon center. they hope to get the magic back against orlando tonight. scott brooks and wizards a win in three games against the magic this year. dow
