center. i know you've had your eye on this, so where do we stand now? >> if you follow me on facebook and twitter, you saw parts of the area were under a winter storm area earlier today. and this just in, the national weather service extending that warning further south. so d.c., arlington, alexandria, fairfax, montgomery county, everyone here in pink now under a winter storm warning. this is going to run until 2:00 p.m. tuesday. so we're talking about 6 to 12 inches of snow. heavy, wet snow that will lead to snow-covered roads and because how wet it will be, we'll likely be tracking power outages. so stick with us and

kevin martinez lost control of his car and he crossed the median and hit another car. he was 20. a passenger in the car he hit also died. he was 24. police expect a third man to recover. they are now investigating the cause of this crash. while democrats and the gop battle over president trump's new health care bill, several republican senators say the house plan is dead on arrival. vice president mike pence and other republicans spent the weekend pushing the bill. but senator cotton said it's no way it will pass the senate. some studies show the plan will leave up to 15 million americans without coverage. some doubt the two sides can compromise. supporters are trying to convince republicans the plan is an improvement on the current health care law.

week, so dealing with melting and rephrase, as well. let me show you the latest timing. starting you off at 8:00 p.m. monday evening. tracking snow in southern maryland, fairfax, and prince william and faquier counties. snow moves in overnight, by 11:00 p.m. and it's potentially one to two inches of snow per hour. 3:00 a.m., notice how dark the blue here. that's heavy snow falling down. and i also want to point out, this line of pink, that's a wintry mix, then rain in parts of southern maryland. this is the rain-snow line and why amount also be lower in southern maryland and up into parts of prince george's county. in the morning on tuesday, tracking snow. loudoun, frederick

still just mainly rain in parts of southern maryland. snow throughout the day on tuesday. but again, the most piles up by 8:00 p.m. tuesday. southern maryland, the northern neck, 1 to 3 inches of slushy, wet snow. washington, arlington, alexandria, southern fairfax, parts of prince william county, stafford county, three to six inches of snow here. notice washington on that line between 3 to 6 and 6 to 12. i think the district sees 12 inches. montgomery, loudoun, faquier county, frederick county in maryland, sees 6 to 12 inches of snow. this will cause cancellations on tuesday and some areas will see cancellations i think on wednesday, as well. so take a look at the forecast. school closed on tuesday based on these amouns.
