for the american health care act. we'll take a closer look the chances the bill will pass in just a few minutes. round two for neil gorsuch. he will be on capitol hill where senators will get another chance to question him. yesterday gorsuch stressed his independence from mr. trump and said quote, when anyone criticized the honesty or integrity or the motives of a federal judge i find that disheartening. public witnesses are expected to testify tomorrow. today the board that oversees reagan national airport will get a closer look at some major construction plans. these plans are expected to change how you use the airport. the biggest change would be new security check points outside the metro station. that would mean the main hall that is now open to everyone would be a part of the secured area. if all goes as planned the new check points would be open by 2020. a separate multimillion dollar jet concourse is also slated for construction and would open after the security changes. well, they are the second

western hemisphere and today all five at the bethesda metro station have been replaced. the official ceremony and ribbon cutting doesn't happen until 3:00 this afternoon. the bethesda project has been going on for nearly three years and cost more than $8 million. today is an important deadline in this year's marine corps marathon. the lottery for the race opens today. you'll find out on march 30th whether you're selected. the registration fee is $160. you don't have to pay until you're selected and then registered. this is the 42nd year for the marine corps marathon. the race is on sunday, october 22nd and nbc 4 is a proud partner of the race. >> that means you'll see the big peacock out on the race at some point. >> i'm more likely to be on the race. >> the peacock is at mile four. you should come out. >> are you running it this year, chuck? >> i will do something,

current rules and regulations and they've worked to minimize impact on the community. he was illegally strip searched by a laurel police officer. now a federal judge has awarded a d.c. man $125,000 for this incident. pt it happened back in 2014. allen was pulled over by an officer who forced the man to pull down his pants and underwear while standing in a cvs parking lot after a traffic stop. he was never under arrest and never charged with a crime. to this day, the department denies the strip search ever took place. the officer remains on the force and has been since promoted. people who saw this story on our facebook page are thrilled that wegmans may first have its first grocery store inside the beltway. developers are in talks to open a location in the northwest. it could take over the fanny mae

temperatures are dropping. most of the area not seeing that just yet, but make sure you grab the warm coat because later on today you will notice the big change. tomorrow morning we're talking about the 20s and over the weekend, it will be warm but we do have some rain chances. right now 57 degrees. very mild but our winds are going to be bringing in that colder air. we have a cold front on the way and here's what the temperatures look like. hagerstown is 44 degrees but feels like 36 because of that wind. the rest of the area though, mostly in the 50s. 53 dulles. so if you're exercising today, keep in mind by 7:00 a.m. it's going to be colder outside. right around 40 degrees getting windy. you'll need the jacket by noon and by 5:00 p.m., windy with temperatures in the mid-40s. so there's that cold front moving right through hagerstown. you can even see some lake effect snow at the top of your screen. then we have some rain just south of mostly charles county but

south. . so we're on the mild side of this cold front right now but things are going to be changing soon. watch those temperatures drop by 10:00 a.m. today. we should be mostly in the 30s. and rebounding to about the mid-40s this afternoon. tomorrow morning though, look at these 20s. tomorrow morning is going to be cold and then we go into friday. that's our next rain chance in the morning hours so keep that in mind. saturday though looking nice and dry and also very warm. today though, 46 degrees. temperatures dropping through the day. windy and colder. 46 will be our afternoon temperature. right now weir at 57 but things will again be changing. then we go into tomorrow. that's going to be a cold day. look at the morning temperatures in the 20s. a chance of an early shower on friday but then we go into saturday. look at that, 76 degrees. looks really nice. let's check the roadways on this wednesday morning. >> good morning. so right now 270 at montrose road northbound, southbound we're rolling along here this morning. don't have any big problems there. overall the beltway is actually looking quite good.
