countries including russia and china turned off their power for an hour to highlight the need for climate action mr. trump is planning to sign a sweeping executive order that would roll back president obama's climate change legacy as a way to restore america's energy independence, vowing to bring back jobs. >> we're joined by tracie potts. good morning. and bring us up to date. >> reporter: sure. the details just came out overnight, we'll get more later today. the significance here is that this could completely roll back the obama energy policy. what president trump is prepared to sign today would do a couple things. senior administration officials say it looks forward and backward. forward in terms of protecting the environment, although we don't have specifics on that. backward, they want to review president obama's policy that reduced carbon emissions at power plants. the supreme courtut

take a close look at that. keep in mind president trump on the campaign trail has called climate change a hoax though an administration official recently said that he believes in climate change. so we'll see what happens with that later. the other big part of this is fulfilling a campaign promise, providing more jobs for coal miners, the executive order that he is planning on signing would ease restrictions on -- get rid of a moratorium on using coal that could provide those jobs. a lot more details when the president signs that order. >> curious to hear a lot more when that happens. tracie potts for us. thank you. this morning the republican chairman of the house intelligence committee devin nunes is under fire. top democratic lawmakers are calling on nunes to step down from his post and recuse himself from his investigation in russia's interference in the presidential election. >> i think it
