incredible scene in peru. a boento a flaming inferno. landing the pl swerved off the runway, its right wing scraped against the tarmac likely starting the fire. amazingly all 141 people on the flight evacuated safely without serious injuries. the airline says the pilot's expertise and professionalism prevented this from becoming a major incident. >> incredible. glad everybody was safe. to washington a different donald trump wases on display as the president reached out to democrats inviting senators and spouses to the white house for a bipartisan affair and making this abrupt about face. >> and i know that we're all going to make a deal on health care. that's such an easy one. i have no doubt that's going to happen quickly. i think it will actually. hopefully it will start being bipartisan because everybody really wants the same

stashed, this happened years ago, and this was money that belonged to president trump's former campaign chair, paul manafort who had been doing business with a russian tied very closely to vladamir putin. according to one source, millions of dollars paid to influence u.s. media and to influence u.s. politics. now, when questions started to be asked about some of these accounts, about some of this money, some of those accounts were closed. paul manafort in a statement through his lawyer says there was nothing illegal that the accounts were closed before the bank collapsed. of course all of this happens as two committees here on capitol hill are investigating any russian ties between the trump transition, there's a senate hearing that's happening today and of course the house intelligence committee where a lot of the focus has been on devin nunes, the house intelligence chair, is refusing to step away from

to the white house that have raised questions. >> all right, tracie potts for us live in washington. thank you. now to the growing controversy brewing over a video shot by a concerned mother at an airport when she had to stand by as her son was pulled aside by tsa and patted down in a personal way. it comes weeks after the agency enacted more thorough procedures allowing screeners to touch passengers near delicate areas. some are asking is it going too far? tom costello has this report. >> reporter: 13-year-old aaron was barefoot in a t-shirt and shorts pulled aside for a pat down at dfw airport. it lasted a full two minutes. >> when this officer was touching me in certain areas i was taught nobody should touch you in that area. >> with a supervisor watching the officer first checked aaron's chest, and back. then his w

mourning three of their own all killed when their cars collided in texas. officials say the accident happened when a black suburban ran a stop sign and crashed into a jeep. officials say the accident was not weather related, two of the victims were weather channel contractors including 57-year-old kelly williamson, the network issued a statement saying the two were beloved members of the weather community. tough to see that happening especially when it comes to severe weather. it's that time of year. in fact, over a dozen tornados in the past 24 hours with the worst may still be ahead of us. meteorologist bill karins is here with our details. >> good morning. we saw this line of strong storms rolling through the dallas area and san antonio so i'm sure there is an early wake-up call for a lot there. this line of storms will weaken throughout the rest of the morning, then we're going to regenerate these this afternoon, this is day two of our three-day severe weather outbreak.
