ceremony. i'm darcy expensener greenbelt with what you can expect tomorrow morning with two metro stations shut down. >> news4 at 11:00 starts now. the manhunt for the suspect police say streamed a murder on facebook live moves into another hour. good evening, i'm air kra gonzales as dan shin na man shows us, the accused killer claims there are more victims. >> hopefully, i'm going to try to kill as many people as i can. >> reporter: in cleveland, a city-wide manhunt. police are looking for steve stephens described as armed and extremely dangerous. he posted a video manifesto about the spree before streaming what appears to be a homicide. video shows the suspect getting out of the car and telling a man he's about to die because of a woman. then a handgun comes into view, a shot is heard and moments later the victim is laying in

to figure out who fired shots at an apartment complex in alexandria this afternoon. this happened along kenmore avenue just off i-395. we're told that shots did go into an apartment, but nobody was hurt. police say they planned to put more officers in the area and they also had a helicopter searching the area as part of the investigation. and a deadly attack in the district. police say somebody stabbed a man in the arm this afternoon and the victim later died. the violence breaking out on c street northeast near 6th street not far from sand park in the capitol hill neighborhood. police don't have any information though about a suspect or even a possible motive in this case. a new phase of metro's safe track program is in effect and it could have a major impact for green line ryders. tomorrow is the first weekday we'll see both the college park and the greenbelt stations closed. darcy spencer has been talking to riders and joins us live in greenbelt. this is not going to be easy on

>> reporter: it's certainly not. we're live at the greenbelt metro station. behind me, you can see the signs are up. the station is closed. some people got tripped up this weekend showing up here at the station not realizing that it's closed. if you rely on greenbelt or college bark, make sure you are prepared for tomorrow morning. how much extra time total do you think it's taking you with the shutdown? >> at least an hour, hour and a half. >> reporter: she says the greenbelt metro station shutdown is costing her time getting to her job in foggy bottom and back. >> i got four kids. 5:30? >> reporter: it's 8:00 now. >> very, very impacted. it's going to be crazy. >> reporter: the latest safe track surge closing the greenbelt and college park stations started saturday. monday will be the first rush hour test of how it will affect commuters. memphis vaughan says

schedule. >> i work in china town. it's pretty big inconvenience to have to take extra 30 minutes to get to work when you know, normally i have a 25-minute commute. >> reporter: tonight you can see is the heavy equipment lined up at the station. the station used by many to get to and from the university of maryland. free shuttle buses are bridging the gap from the closed stations to the next stop. safe track is a year long metro maintenance project aimed at improving safety. what do you think about these surges? >> they got to do what they got to do to get the job done. right in the just wait till things get better. >> back out live, you can see there are signs up here letting people know that the shuttle buses are in place to help people get to the next stop. in this case, it would be prince gorges plaza. again, greenbelt is actually going to be closed for a month. so you've got to plan ahead. the good news is, all of the

done sometime in june. erica, back to you. >> darcy spencer, thank you. also in prince gorges county, police are trying to figure out who stab aid woman to death. officers found the victim this morning along this springdale avenue in forestville just inside the beltway off of forestville road. they rushed her to the hospital where shelarity died. police have not released the victim's name. right now, freedom for a woman from virginia detained in egypt for years. she was acquitted by an egyptian court today. she was arrested in cairo nearly three years ago. authorities accused her of abusing children through an organization she founded to help kids living on the street. human rights groups have long dismissed the charges as bogus. she has dual citizenship and she grew up in falls church, graduated from george maven university and then returned to her native egypt. we are hearing she may in fact stay in cairo to keep up the goals of her

united could be in trouble again. a couple accused the airline of booting them off their flight to their own destination wedding. this all went down saturday. the bride and the groom were connecting in houston. they were going to costa rica. they told the television station in houston they sat in see

there was a man lying down across their row. well, the flight crew first escorted them back to their correct seats and allegedly told them later to get off the plane. united rebooked them on a flight this morning which is their wedding day. in a statement, the airline says these passengers repeatedly attempted to fit sit in upgrade seating which they didn't purchase and would not follow crew instructions to return to their assigned seats. meantime, united is changing policy when it comes to bumping customers for crew members. in an internal memo, they say must ride bookings have to be made at least at hour before departure. this change comes after a man got dragged off a flight in chicago when he refused to give up his seat. we all saw the video. united says this is an initial step in review of its policy to ensure that this never happens again. to politics now, taking our second in command overseas is vice president mike pence is i

for a dangerous trip to the demilitarized zone that separates north and south korea. nbc's janice mackey fryer is in seoul with our report. >> reporter: just hours after north korea flaund its military strength, a failed missile test exposed its weakness. the medium-range missile blew up less than five seconds after launch. according to a white house foreign policy adviser, the u.s. had good intelligence before and after the test. some speculating whether u.s. sabotage through covert electronic warfare could have factored into the failed launch. >> we don't know yet. it could be sabotage. it could be poor engineer. just bads luck. it's the nature of these programs. it's clear that u.s. policy has always been to try to do everything possible. >> reporter: whether or not u.s. played a role, the failed slaunch an embarrassment for kim jong-un and not good for the u.s. or the region either. the concern that north korea

morning updating the forecast. this will hang out here overnight tonight waiting for the sun to come up helping to reinvigorate it and we'll see showers from north to south throughout the day tomorrow. right now showers in parts of fredrik county and back on into the panhandle of west virginia. here's the latest timing. i have update this had since "news4 at 6." showers north of the metro area around 7:00 a.m. 66 degrees that the point. around the midday hours, this is when showers are in arlington, alexandria, washington, fairfax, faulkner and anna run del counties. the sun breaks out and we'll warm up nicely. we're going from a cloudy kind of dreary questionable day to a beautiful day. tomorrow's one of those days you need the umbrella as well as the gun glasses. i posted that on facebook and twitter earlier. 7:00 p.m., it's gorgeous for everybody. 73 degrees that the point. the pollen report,

so high that we actually got a rare official report on not only a weekend but a holiday, as well. so those showers would really help to bring some of the pollen out of the air. you kind of need that light rain smaller rain drops help bring the pollen out. thunderstorms don't always bring the pollen out of the air. here's how the weather is impacting monday. the commute mainly dry. mainly not the best idea to eat outdoors. dinner out 7:30. once the sun sets, it's chilly. gorgeous on tuesday, low 70s. maybe more showers mainly early on wednesday. highs in the upper 60s, low 80s on thursday. we'll send it to break and be back in just a moment. >> he's on a leash. he's on a leash. >> the guy shooting this video trying and failing to get the attention of a runaway bull. police in vegas

an hour chasing down the escaped bull this morning. they eventually caught up with him. nobody was hurt. who has a pet bull? where does this come from? new details about america's favorite giraffe mama and baby. april is recovering perfectly eating everything in sight according to keepers. her calf had his first vet checkup this afternoon. the zoo posted on its facebook page. so if you're wondering how much does a baby giraffe weigh, 130 pounds. and he's about 5'9". he's a baby calf. born yesterday. no updates yet on the contest to name this little guy. whoa, mama, 130 pounds it, 5'9". still ahead, a huge day for d.c. sports. george wallace up next with some very happy highlights.
