crash site behind me. yellow tape surrounds the perimeter. and there are people who live nearby right across the street one woman saw the helicopter circling. she knew something was wrong when it started plunging to the ground. she said it was terrifying. >> tonight new video from southern maryland newsnet shows the scene after a military helicopter crashes at the country club in leonard town 1:30 this afternoon. >> very sad. very upset when we heard that. >> trish lives near the golf course. she heard the crash. >> all of a sudden we heard this loud noise. >> the video shows firefighters examining the wreckage. the army crew was doing a routine training flight in a u 860 black hawk. one crew member died. one was transported to a hospital in krut cal condition and one is in serious

recover. thank you, show is marchy. it is not unusual to see black hawk helicopters flying around our area. they are a big part. the defense department says the army flies vip visits to and from the pentagon. officials say the army national guard's uh-60 fleet is the oldest in the army. more than half started flying 30 years ago. information about a sexual assault that shocked a local community last year. the attack happened in a dumpster behind a fairfax county shopping center. you may recall a red car with a gray patch on the driver's side. police never found the is survivor. but news 4's jackie ben found out they have not given up. >> reporter: police believe

someone will come forward sooner rather than later. they want you to take a close look at the images. how can no one have recognized this car with a distinctive white or gray patch mark on the driver's side door? how can no one recognize the man month had access to that distinctive car. after a woman was forced into a dumpster and sexually assaulted behind this shopping center. investigate issors tried to jog some memories. >> we don't forget. every case that comes in to our department gets the attention of a detective. and that detective holds on to that case until that case is resolved or they retire. >> detectives went door to door in a nearby apartment complex, handing out flyers. the assault happened march 30th, 2016, around 6:00 a.m.

if they prefer. but schools worry high school is too late for this type of education. we are following breaking news tonight in the manassas murder investigation. police just released a picture of a man calling him a possible suspect. now, they are searching for him and another man in the brutal murder of another young man outside a diner in manassas. surveillance shows him walking out of a restaurant early monday morning. the two suspects waiting in a white suv waiting for the victim, then shot and stabbed him. they believe it was a nissan rogue. look for more information in our nbc washington app and of course tomorrow morning on news 4 today. some good news for a change for metro riders. by the end of the year, there will be free wi-fi at 30 more stations. the "washington post" first reported the update. metro says if all goes according to plan, every red line from
