found hanged in his cell overnight at a correctional facility in massachusetts. medical personnel attempted to perform life saving techniques. they transported hernandez to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. he attempted to block his door from the inside. last friday the former patriot's tight end was found not of murder in the shooting death of two men back in 2012, but hernandez was already serving a life sentence for murder in the 2013 killing of odem loyd. massachusetts police are on scene. hernandez's family has been notified. >> it just happened in the last few hours. thank you. another story, results are in from georgia's high stakes special election to fill the seat of

test of president trump's influence. the democratic upstart john ossoff was just short of an victory. there will be a run off between him and karen handel. we'll get reaction from lindsey graham. let's start with kristen welker with more at the white house. >> reporter: on the one hand, there's a sigh of relief at the white house. john ossoff didn't get the 50% needed to avoid a run off. still he got awfully close. enough to have the political world asking would georgia become a prerreferendum on prest trump. a big night in georgia for john ossoff. his strong showing going all the way to the white house this morning. >> we have defied the odds. we have shattered

says tehran is complying with the historic agreement signed under the obama administration so reign in the nuclear program. president trump is focusing on iran's terror ties. six world powers didn't consider it because they thought it was more important to stop iran from getting a bomb. in a strong signal the new administration appears to be ready to rip up the deal. this morning the white house talking tough on iran. rex tillerson saying the trump administration is weighing whether to essentially break the terms of a land marc iran nuclear deal signed almost two years ago. candidate trump repeatedly called the agreement the worst deal ever negotiated. >> it's one of the worst negotiated deals of any kind i've seen. >> reporter: rex tillerson admits iran has been upholding its end of the bargain, but he said in a letter iran remains a leading state

methods. the 2015 deal signed by world powers including russia, france, germany and the uk and the u.s. restricts the nuclear program in exchange for the listing of financial sanctions against the islamic republic for ten years. without the deal they would have had a nuclear deal within months. benjamin netanyahu has been a fierce opponent of this deal. critics say the trump review will raise questions about why the white house wants to risk letting iran go nuclear while it is already in the middle of a major crisis with north korea which has an arsenal of nuclear weapons. >> andrea, thank you. mike pence issued a new warning to north korea overnight labeling it a dangerous and urgent threat. this just hours after we learned that the u.s. naval fleet that was supposed to be heading toward the korean peninsula in a show of force was actually

observation. his spokesman said the president is just fine. he is said to be in good spirits this morning. the 92-year-old admitted to houston methodist last friday after a persistent cough prevented him from getting proper rest. it was determined he had a mild case of pneumonia which was treated and has been resolved. he is now being held for further observation while he regains his strength. in january the former president spent two weeks in the hospital with pneumonia. for a time he was put on a ventilator to help him breathe. at the same time his wife, barbara bush spent five days in the same hospital for bronchitis. the pair had just celebrated their 72nd wedding an verse say. recovering enough to take part at the super bowl in houston. earlier this month he was visited by his

with the latest. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. it was a mcdonald's employee who recognized the so-called facebook killer at this drive through. an end to the man hunt that gripped the nation. they are trying to piece together how he spent nearly 48 hours on the run before he took his life. the man hunt for the killer is over. but for robert godwin's family, the pain is not. >> i wanted to see him go to trial, because it was awful what he did to my brother. >> reporter: police say he randomly chose godwin and murdered him easter sunday posting the video on facebook. >> he took all the dignity he had. we all know we're going to die. but not like that. not for the world to see. >> reporter: the man hunt end

a sharp eyed employee at this drive through recognized stephens. he ordered mcnuggets and fries and the worker stalled his order and called 9-1-1. >> basically just told him it was going to be a minute for his fries. just wanted to make sure the proper people were contacted. >> reporter: stephens sped off, his car fleeing the scene. >> units, ps sp behind a white ford fusion on buffalo road. >> reporter: they say after a short chase, he took his own life. the 37-year-old had no criminal history but had recently filed for bankruptcy. >> i lost everything. i lost everything i had. >> reporter: in a video rabbinte blamed an ex-girlfriend for making him snap. his friend said stephens called in just minutes before the murder. >> this car. >> he told me to call him right back once i saw the facebook post. i tried and he did not answer.

we're back now. 7:45 with a story that will probably outrage a lot of parents across the country. >> a lot of day care centers offer live streaming videos. one mom in texas decided to do just that, and she witnessed the unthinkable. >> you can hear audible gasps as it's happening. an system- -- 18-month old boy is pushed to the floor by a worker. kate lynn was on her lunch break at work watching a live stream of her child when it happened. within seconds she was racing there, her co-workers recording the incident. according to police, the day care worker seen on the video is 22-year-old jasmine

courtroom, the former patriot's tight end was found not in the death of two men back in 2012. but the 27-year-old was already serving a life sentence for murder in the 2013 killings of oden loyd. hernandez's family has not been notified. it's a stunning fall from grace. from a football star who made millions. he was found dead early this morning. police say they are investigating. police are on the scene at the hospital and also at the prison cell. investigators say their investigation could take quite some time as they try to piece it together. hernandez was in a single cell in the general population but was alone in his cell. back to you. >> all right. miguel, thank you. police in fresno, california, say racial hatred drove a gunman to kill three random victims on tuesday. officers used a high-tech system
