house on woodland drive began last week. darryn wentz is charged in the killing. a peaceful sunday morning quickly turned chaotic. neighbors at a fort washington apartment building were forced to use their balconies to escape a major fire. jumping was the only way for many of those neighbors to escape the fast-moving flames here. one woman actually tossed her baby down to bystanders below. another woman was saved by a neighbor also trying to get out of that building. >> on the back side of this building was a woman, her hanging another woman out of the window and the smoke was just everywhere. >> now everyone was able to get out. five people were treated on the scene there. two others went to the hospital. none of them was badly hurt. the red cross is now helping 30 people find a new place to live. if you are just getting ready to head out the door this morning, do not forget the umbrella
