that trump touted. but the challenge is with the exception of a very big accomplishment which is the appointment of gorsuch, they don't have a lot to show for their 100 day efforts. >> on one hand the president is saying this is a ridiculous standard. on the other hand, he seems to be working overtime to try to notch victories before friday, including the border wall funding. he said we have to get it into this budget deal. and now he had to back down. >> yeah. >> it is extraordinarily shortsighted. anybody who paid any attention to congress over the last decade recognized in order to pass budget bills, you need democrats. democrats were not going to include funding for a budget wall. it's not surprising he climbed down from the proposal. if anything the fact that he did so on a monday night as opposed to waiting until the deadline on friday is an

be learning something. >> 96% of the people part of president trump's base are sticking with him in a poll. how does the base feel about backing down from the border wall. they want mexico to pay for it, not the u.s. government. how will they feel about that? >> his base is a personal obsession. they think they all have my cell phone. i was in michigan and pennsylvania talking to him. they're going to give him time. they still believe in the muslim ban as a strategy to protect the homeland. you talk about artificial deadlines. to them 100 days is not a fair amount of time and they'll give him time. i think we see failed efforts. they see flexibility when it comes to agreeing to not fund the wall. >> he got a supreme court nominee through, and a lot of people have given him points for foreign policy issues. doing something decisive in syria. perhaps getting china to bere

beginninew information on t passenger dragging. we have audio report recordings and the t statements from the officers involved. >> a reminder that these security officers were not police officers. they were wearing jackets that said police. one incident report we obtained threw a freedom of information act says dr. dao struck his face on an armrest. another said dao had become violent. this morning we obtained surveillance video from the united airlines gate in chicago that appears to show dr. david dao boarding his flight to louisville. and the radio call sending security officers to dr. dao's plane when he refused to give up his seat. >> were they drinking? >> no. it's something with this a volunteer or something like that. >> this is a departing flight? >> yeah. >> reporter: minutes later the

camera appears to show dr. dao's running back on. soon after an ambulance arrives. passengers get off. then back on. on board dao's attorney saying he suffered a concussion, broken nose, two broken teeth and sinus injuries when security officers pulled him from his seat. >> oh, my god. >> reporter: three officers involved filed incident reports with the chicago department of aviation involuntarily writing they were, quote, under dresz because they feared losing their jobs if they didn't. they were later put on leave. the security officer who grabbed the man reported that dr. dao refused to leave and folded his arms tightly. dr. dao's turn culls it nonsense. >> in any way was dr. dao a threat? >> no. he's a pushy kid.

and there's video shng there was nothing he did that caused -- that should have caused united airlines to bring in the storm troopers that came in. >> i am not going. >> reporter: in fact, video reviewed shows dr. dao adamant that he would not give up his seat because he had patients to see the next morning but he was not violent. >> reporter: also we learned of a fourth security officer who responded, a sergeant. he was put on administrative leave ten days after the incident. the new documents reveal that officer long was suspended weeks earlier for a separate incidence of inentoorduation. united airlines apologized. this morning saying our focus is reviewing our policies and making this right for our customers so something like this doesn't happen again. >> what's appropriate compensation for dr. dao? >> i don't know. it's too early to tell. >> are we talking tens of millions of dollars?

we were at the matrix award at the new york women savannah got an award. she was one of seven honorees, and matt was the presenter, and can i just tell you, i've never really been to an event hosted by and produced by and just run around so many inspiring women. the thing that resonated with me the most was i felt inspired without any of these women bringing anyone else down. it wasn't like we're going to bring down men to raise up women. it was just an event where the women are smart, driven. they're humble. they're inspiring, and savannah is right up there with them, and her speech brought me to tears. >> dylan, she's not a crier. i looked over and saw her go, i was like no. >> then you lose it. >> then we're all trying not to do the ugly cry. >> i'm a dude that cries. i'm a crier. i don't know why. it hurts me a little bit to say.
