if your weekend plans will have you riding the rails or busses in d.c., you might want to make other plans. that is because employees may be planning a sickout. >> news4's justin finch is live in springfield now with a look at how the transit system and riders are responding to this. justin, good morning. >> reporter: aaron, good morning. so far, buses and trains have been moving smoothly this morning. but that could all change come friday. a potential sickout at a station like this could stymie service to many, many riders new news4's adam tuss was first to break this story on tuesday, finding that metro was logging an unusual number of worker sick calls begins friday. there is a concern that could roll into the weekend. all of this at metro's largest union team continue their contract talks. now, legally, striking is no option for the union so some see the sickout as trivial. coming to the attention. me

fire crews are training in case of a terror attack. specifically prince george's county police say to expect an increased presence around bowie and cheltenham. all police say this is happening near the scalia law school at george mason university. the drills begin at 7:30 this morning. president trump is expected to unveil his blueprint on tax reform today. here are four things that we're learning about this plan. according to the "the new york times," president trump's plan will include a massive cut for corporate income tax dropping the rate from 35% to 15%. the proposal is also expected to include some sort of benefit for child care. though it's not clear how much at this point. it also increases the standard deduction for individuals giving modest cuts in middle income earn earners. the "times" also said as of last night, the plan did not include the president's promised trillion dollar infrastructure program. the president on tax reform, health care

question for republicans on capitol hill. they're expected to determine how to move forward on their plan to replace the affordable care act. one proposal letting states get waivers toing a nor coverage requirements in the affordable care act. meanwhile, president trump is dealing with another legal setback as he approached 100 days in office. we'll have details coming up at 6:30. today, a battle over airbnb is shaping up in the d.c. council. thousands in the area make extra cash by renting out rooms through the online company. the district is looking at whether to regulate or license some of those owners who are making this a full-time business. councilmembers proposing the plan say the legislation targets commercial airbnb operators who rent multiple rooms and undercut the housing shortage. >> we want to make sure we keep the long-term housing for residents. it makes for higher rent and less affordable housing. >> d.c.

the land lord using airbnb to fill apartments that fall under the district's rent control rules. three people are in the hospital after a small bus crash into this group home in kensington. take a look, it happened on lawrence avenue yesterday evening. two of the passengers on the bus and one person in the home were hurt. all are expected to be okay. we're told six residents who live at the home had to stay somewhere else last night. no word on what caused the crash. 6:07 now. there's still a lot of work to be done at that fire ravaged building in college park. fire investigators were back on the scene to look for a cause today. last night, crews were still putting out hot spots on burlinghouse road. officials do believe the fire was an accident. well, you can still grab a 60 to the wizards game tonight. they do not have the momentum after losing two games in

a 14-year-old girl during school hours. we are getting new reaction from president trump on a federal judge's decision to block his executive order on sanctuary cities. the order threatened to withhold funding from those cities that don't cooperate with immigration officials. the president tweeted, quote, first the ninth circuit ruled against the ban. and how it hits again on sanctuary cities. both ridiculous rulings. see you in the supreme court. that ruling comes just hours after attorney general jeff sessions met with a group of mayors and police chiefs on this issue. news4's angie goff has more from the newsroom. angie. >> eun, included in that meeting, the overall group said it still needs to get clarity on what exactly a sanctuary city is and reality of detainers. the detainers gifts customs enforcement up to two days to look into the status and

idea, erika, good morning to you. good morning, aaron, is this an ongoing fight between cell phone companies and the companies they serve. t-mobile and milestone communications and many greenbelt residents. with the proposed cell phone tower would stand at 100 foot tall and would be right here on the property at eleanor roosevelt high school. t-mobile said the power would improve cell service in the area. adding that radiation from cell towers is well below limits. health concerns. that was a big topic for a lot of residents. one of the many issues brought up last night at a community meeting. >> there's evidence that it is dangerous to the health of children. it's dangerous to our property values. and it's generally not accepted by our community. >> reporter: right now, there is no proposed time line for when this proposed cell phone tower could go up.
