actually talk about politics or defend itself. today the presidential race that's rattled france rattled again late last night. news of a last-minute hacking attack. nine gigabytes of data, thousands of e-mails and documents all stolen a few weeks ago from the campaign of emmanuel macron. this as the country enters a preelection two-day media blackout. it's a massive and coordinated piracy meant to cause doubt and misinformation. no one has claimed responsibility but suspicion already focused on russia. a japanese cyber security firm last week said russians had hacked macron's campaign. moscow denied that charge. >> we are 100% sure that this team is only focusing on opponents to the russian government. >> reporter: the hacked e-mails are mostly trivial. restaurant reservations, talk

to say good-bye. maya rodriguez has the latest. >> reporter: hours after investigators in texas issued an arrest warrant former police officer roy oliver was booked into a dallas area jail for the murder of 15-year-old jordan edwards. >> the news that the man responsible for their son's death was properly charged with murder is a big deal to the family. >> reporter: according to the arrest warrant, it all began last saturday night when police responded to a call about noise at a house party. oliver and another officer responded, and while at the home their police body cameras captured audio of what sounded like gunfire coming from outside. they went to investigate and spotted a vehicle. first seen slowly backing up and then driving away. investigators say oliver fired his patrol rifle into the car several times. jordan edwards was in the front passenger seat. the freshman honors student and football player

ranging from aggravated assault to involuntary manslaughter after one student suffered a fatal fall during pledge night. >> good morning. he was a 19-year-old sophomore with his entire life ahead of him. now his family is speaking out after prosecutors say he fell down a flight of stairs and that his frat brothers waited 12 hours to call the cops. 18 college students now facing criminal charges. members of the fraternity at penn state arraigned friday after a drunk member fell down the stairs of their frat house and died. >> this is the result of the feeling of entitlement, flagrant disobedience of the law. >> reporter: the charges come three months after prosecutors say 19-year-old timothy piazza participated in a pledge night event called the gauntlet. >> they made the pledges run from station to station and drink enormous amounts of

alcohol. >> reporter: prosecutors say video shows piazza fell down the stairs at 11:00 p.m. a defense member for one of the members says the frat brothers never intended to hurt their friend. >> there has to be some form of intent. we think that is not present in this case. >> reporter: the next morning investigators say when piazza wouldn't wake up almost 12 hours later, the frat brothers called 911. >> some of them described that he looked dead. well, some of them buggoogled things like what to do with a head injury. >> reporter: 18 members and the fraternity itself now face charges from aggravated assault to hazing, eight of them charged with involuntary manslaughter. >> involuntary manslaughter is one of the lower level offenses related to a death. it doesn't mean you tried to kill someone or wanted to, but it does mean that you had a role in causing someone's death. >> reporter: the fraternity has since disbanded the chapter calling the charges incredibly disheartening. in a
