getting more information on a serious crash in cheltenham. two people were trapped in these cars. prince george's fire says at least one person has critical, life threatening injuries. police had to shut down the southbound lanes of the highway for a while. it is open now. leesburg, virginia, family needs your help finding this missing teen girl. jasmine dunn. the loudoun county sheriff's office said the missing girl was reported missing on april 19th but was recently seen on tuesday on pipeline plaza in ashburn. call the loudoun county sheriff if you know where she might be. an earthquake in china. erika gonzalez at the live desk. >> search and rescue efforts underway in the northwest region of china. we do understand that as many as eight people are dead. 11 others are injured.

devos. >> many students turned their backs on and drowned out devos's speech. this was in daytona beach. you can see some people being escorted out by security. devos caused a backlash earlier this year after calling historically black colleges and universities, quote, pioneers of school choice. after harsh criticism she said they were borne out of segregation. angry and frustrated students at the university of maryland demand that the school take action after a noose was found on campus. a large crowd marched from the student union down to the administration building yesterday. they wanted to hold a sit-in inside the office of the president. the president condemned the

despicable. we have an update about all of the online threats made against a high school in our area. a 16-year-old from sterling has been charged with the threats. we told you that weapons were found in the 16-year-old's home but they belonged to a relative. loudoun county sheriff's office says there was never a credible threat to the school. we're learning new details in the inmate escape in howard county. some charges have been dropped against david watson. "baltimore sun" said they dropped the escape charges. he will fatesce attempted murde charges. he's already serving 100 years prison for a drive by shooting in delaware. he was on the run for six days last month. visitors at one of our many monuments and landmarks expect to be safe, but the force to make them safe is

u.s. park police officers is down by 5% since 2010. this is despite record nurms of visitors. 4:51. later this morning muriel bowser is expected to annoyance that she's pulling back on a ban that has ruffled some feathers. you get me, d.c. pet chicken owners have flocked together to protest mayor bowser's proposed ban on chickens. the group's petition has more than 700 signatures to protect these chickens which have names such as tina fey and maggie thatcher. how about that? yesterday news 4's tomm sherwood told one of the owners that the mayor plans to pull back on the ban. >> i'm very excited. this can be a win-win for the city and the chicken owners

district? here are the top four most dangerous according to a new study from a law firm. they looked at risks of collision and serious injury along with a high volume of high-speed cars and pedestrians. here we go, first, minnesota avenue at benning road. second on that list, sutherland avenue near owens road. third is 12th street and pennsylvania avenue in northwest right there near freedom plaza. i've been across that one. finally talking about u street and 14th street northwest. news 4's justin finch will break down the danger index at the number one spot. with summer quickly approaching, kids will be running outside to play and riding their bikes. there is now a new warning about how often kids are getting hurt because they're not wearing their helmets and pads. according to new research, nearly 1200 children are rushed to emergency rooms every day. most of them have injuries
