news from prince george's county. police say a woman who has been missing since april is dead and it looks to be a case of domestic violence. a little over a month ago. turkessa paige disappeared in oxen hill. according to police, the person who killed her has now confessed to the drim. police say michael procter strangled her in her home, left her body in the house, came back the next day and put it in a storage bin. then he says he wheels it away to a dumpster in camp springs, maryland. but police have not yet found that body, but they did have some surveillance video which helped investigators determine that procter was the last person to see her alive. he has now been charged with assault as well as murder. pat? >> a developing story right now, an eighth grade field trip to the nation'sit

frightening turn. a bus carrying the children overturned in northeast maryland. maryland state police say the bus overturned at least once. you can also see damage to the hill and a stretch of guard rail on the right side of the highway in some of the photos. despite what happened, no one was killed. however, several children and adults were taken to area hospitals with injuries. police believe a car trying to pass the bus caused the crash. >> a passenger vehicle, also southbound on interstate 95, attempted a passing maneuver of this bus. apparently during that maneuver, lost control, the driver lost control of his vehicle, that was the honda you saw at the scene and came back across in front of the bus, clipping the front of the bus. the bus then traveled off the right-hand side of interstate 95, struck an embankment, traveled down the embankment, struck a tree and then turning over onto

we have some breaking news to report. a plane crash neert the teterboro airport in new jersey, outside of new york city. live pictures now, the faa tells us it's a small plane crash. it's a leer jet 35. the plane took off from philadelphia international airport. no word yet on how many people are on board. but we know that this type of plane can carry up to eight people and two pilots. we'll continue to watch the story and bring you any new information as we get it this afternoon. we are learning new details now about a shooting on i-95. >> this was the story that pat and i talked about during the facebook live just before the show. a mom with two young kids, killed on the way home from

you an alert on the nbc washington app. prince george's county prosecutors and jail officials say they don't know who removed a gps monitor from kenneth kelley. he killed two women and three children in a drunk driving crash in 2014. he failed to show up for his sentencing on friday. he's still on the loose and being sought by deputies. anyone who sees him or has information about his whereabouts should call police right away. and we gotta remind orange line riders, the safetrack that's starting tomorrow is going to have a huge effect on your commute. five metro stations will be shut down and you won't be able to get on or off at new carrollton, landover, cheverly, deanwood and minnesota avenue. they will be running shuttle buses every 30 minutes on weekdays and this surge is expected to last through the middle of june. we posted a list
