someone under such scrutiny could slip away. >> reporter: this guy was on the run for days basically adding sought to the wound in this three-year long nightmare for loved ones of those victims. kelly back behind bars this morning. captured late last night after deputies say they found him at a motel along allentown road. now we are still digging for details about how all of that played out. we brought you the breaking development on our 11:00 newscast last night. kelly, he was a no show in court on friday for his sentencing on five counts of negligent homicide in that horrific dui crash that left five people dead including two children. for the loved ones, this has been excruciating. >> he took away five lives, five. i'm not sure why the judge released him in the first place. you know, he shouldn't have been out on the street, but ts

moon said if the circumstances are right that he is open with meeting with north korea. aaron, eun? >> angie, thank you. five minutes after the hour now. the white house is embroiled in another controversy this morning. >> this time it's over what president trump reportedly told the russians in a meeting last week. the washington post reports the president revealed highly classified intelligence information to sergei lavrov and the russian ambassador. it talked about a russian threat related to the use of laptop use on planes. h.r. mcmaster is strongly denying the report. >> the story that came out tonight as reported is false. the president and the foreign minister reviewed a range of common threats to our two countries, including threats to civil aviation. >> mcmaster says the president never revealed sources, methods, or classified military operations.

about the report. news 4's tracie potts will have more on this developing story later in the newscast. meanwhile, it's been one week since president trump fired james comey as the fbi director. the president said the process of finding a new director is moving rapidly. according to reports comey is willing to testify in public. hillary clinton is returning to politics. she launched an organization that's designed to push back against president trump's agenda. the name may sound familiar. it's called onward together. it's an adaptation of her campaign theme, stronger together. she hopes it will help people get involved. a major impact on your commute starting today. metro just opened at 5:00 this morning but five stations are shut down. here they are. you

these five stations. metro is running three shuttle buses between new carrollton and stadium armory. the silver line will have reduced services. it's expected to last until june 15th. we'll have a list of alternative travel options in the nbc app. search safe track. justin finch will be live to break down what this means for you. a temporary fix to the hot and uncomfortable days inside metro stations on the red line is coming. gm paul wiedefeld said new cooling towers and pipes will be put in. but he doesn't have a time line for when that would happen. the cooling equipment for the dupont circle and north stations broke years ago. metro says leaking pipes are the problem. a permanent fix would mean ripping up a large part of connecticut avenue. a man who was supposed to be keeping a school safe is now accused of having a sexual

there could be more victims. mike lievano worked as a security guard at colonel e. brooke lee middle school. he's charged with sexual abuse of a minor. they show he worked part time at rockville high school between september of 2015 and february of 2016. officers say any concerned parents should contact police. 5:08 now. watch out for signs of whooping cough in your children if you live montgomery county. a student at walt whitman high school in bethesda has that respiratory disease. the district sent out a letter warning parents. whooping cough is highly contagious. some symptoms are low fever, running nose and deep rapid high pitched coughing. the symptoms can show up within five days to three weeks after someone has been exposed. >> we are days away from pool season starting, and

guards. the county council is looking at a plan to allow hotel pools to get rid of their life guards. the county has 36 hotels with pools right now. current county pools require that each be manned by a life guard. new legislation could allow the hotels to post safety signs, allow them to swim at their own risk and install an alarm system. the rule would require each hotel have a cpr trained person employed at all times. it is a good time to wash the car, today, tomorrow, thursday. if you're about to head out this morning, some areas are in the 40ed. you might want a light jacket but not for long. chuck and i are back with a look at the heat on the way. what's worse than being stuck on a train for hours? how about being stuck on a train for hours and being

cheverly forget, take a look here. the signs are up. the orange line service being replaced by buses for the next several weeks. so riders, your best bet here is going to be shuttle buses. on weekends look for free shuttle buses running every half hour between those five closed metro stops and the stadium armory station. free express metro shuttle buses will also connect riders from closed orange line stations to blue line stops. fairfax and prince george's county are offering connecting bus options. the surge is not expected to majorly disrupt the virginia area orange line but riders will notice silver line trains running about every 12 minutes or so. back live perhaps you can see the workers are here to meet the riders as they show up this morning with their questions. we do know at this point that weekend service will be varying here. you can fin t

information. >> reporter: the ntsb and the faa both will be on the ground in new jersey this morning. we have that new security footage as you mentioned of when the plane went down. take a look. this comes into the shot right there on the left of your screen. you see that it crashes sideways and then explodes into that fireball. this is a leer jet. two crew members on the plane were killed. even though this is a neighborhood and there were a lot of businesses around, no one else was hurt. however, nearby buildings, a lot of cars were torched. power lines also caught on fire. the plane we hear coming from philadelphia. they were attempting to land at the airport. we know that the windy conditions were a factor. we're not sure if that contributed to the crash. the investigation is still ongoing but it was really windy when the plane went down. eun? >> angie, thank you. 5:34. the fairfax county fire department is calling a man who lived

post report that president trump shared highly classified intelligence last week with russia's foreign minister and ambassador. news 4's tracie potts is live on capitol hill for us this morning. tracie, what's the main concern after this report? >> reporter: aaron, the main concerns are our allies giving us this information, in this case it wasn't generated by u.s. intelligence, it was given to us by another partner. if they can't make sure that classified information doesn't remain classified, doesn't get transferred to russia or some other country, then will they continue to give us that information? if not, will that hurt our chances to find out what isis may be doing next. so we're seeing reaction to all of this. they had h.r. mcmaster, the national security adviser back at the white house briefing today likely taking a lot of questions. they argued that the president did nothing here to reveal methods or sources but just the information he did
