i'm standing on forest hill road near suitland parkway where the fatal accident occurred. today i spoke with her family members. it's a close-knit religious family that is trying to deal with her tragic loss. ♪ ♪ >> reporter: that's london dior, she was also known as londi. she was a local rapper who had already gained national attention. her fans loved her voice, her beauty, and her message. now they're sharing their sorrow on social media with a #rest in peace lundy. yesterday at about 4:00 in the morning, she was killed in this car crash on suitland parkway, along with her boyfriend and another friend. the driver of the jeep survived but was seriously injured. i stopped by her home in southeast washington. her grandmother tells me her heart is broken. >> she was such a

a teacher were still hospitalized. the teacher, said to be in critical condition. charges in the accident are pending. he admitted to slamming into another car while drunk, killing three women and two children, but never showed up for his sentencing, and had been on the run until yesterday. tracee wilkins has more on how police caught him. >> reporter: kenneth kelley was due in court here in upper marlboro on friday, but skipped out on his sentencing, after pleading guilty to five counts of manslaughter. this goes back to an accident in 2014, where he was drunk while driving behind the wheel, killing five people in that crash, including two children. he admitted his guilt and was released on $100,000 bond, but did not show up to court. last night, he was arrested in su suitland at a motel on allentown road. so now folks are trying to figure out who was monitoring him

amount, it's the size of the individual and how quickly they ingest it. >> i try to limit my coffee to one, sometimes two a day. but if you take a look at what most people consume, you may have coffee for breakfast, a soda can your lunch or a snack and red bull if you're really tired and didn't get enough sleep the previous night. how much caffeine is in these drinks. coca-cola, mountain dew, coffee and red bull. >> coke will have about 35 milligrams. mountain dew about one and a half times that. coffee can have up to seven or eight cups of coffee. and an energy drink could have eight or ten cups of coffees' stimulants. >> so how much is too much? how do you know if it's too much for that 16-year-old? >> the limit is about 100 milligrams per day for a child, by

at the heat wave coming up in a few minutes. scott macfarlane at the live desk. the security incident outside the white house, the u.s. secret service has responded to an incident to the north side of the white house. the pennsylvania avenue side, where there are tourists and protesters. a person was arrested after jumping the bike rack nearest the white house security fence. this person is in custody, according to secret service. we're seeing reports people in that area were moved away on an emergency basis by secret service. this is the latest in a series of incidents. secret service people are trespassing onto secure areas just outside the white house. there were two people scheduled to be in federal court today for fence jumping at the white house. more as it comes in. back to you. glad it was nothing more serious than that. delta is hoping new technology will speed you

a recent howard graduate could soon see a story that he co-wrote on the big screen. andrew long won a million dollar grant to produce a screenplay which will premiere at the tribeca film festival. >> spike lee is executive producing the film, and meagan fitzgerald shows us how his career is really about to take off. >> the first play i've ever seen, and i fell in love with it. >> reporter: movies and productions have been andrew long's passion for as long as he can remember. >> just by watching movies, and i didn't know that was something i could do for a living. >> reporter: that was until he came to howard university. this is where his dream of becoming a film writer became a reality. andrew co-wrote the screenplay nigerian prince with his friend. >> it's about a nigerian american teenager who is tricked into going to school
