passenger rushed the cockpit. a caretaker leave as wheelchair bound man in a hot car for hours. >> they just left us feeling helpless. news 4 at 11 starts now. >> first tonight we are hearing from a woman who was at the center of the chaos outside the turkish embassy on tuesday. >> body guards for turkey's president clashed with protesters injuring 12 people and they won't be charged. news 4's shomari stone with reaction from one of the people who was injured. >> this woman is courageously speaking out after she says the turkish president's body guard assaulted her. she is shocked that this happened in america in northwest d.c. >> reporter: she is speaking out

outside the turkish ambassador's residents in northwest d.c. she says one of the body guards for turkey's president attacked her. >> i was afraid. >> reporter: this all started on tuesday when turkish president arrived at his ambassador's residents on 23rd street after his meeting with president trump in the white house. she and a dozen protesters showed up to demonstrate bringing attention to the repression in turkey. >> i was there for democracy and for human rights. it was just peaceful demonstration. >> reporter: nbc news confirmed the body guard dressed in the dark colored suits suddenly attacked the group. >> one of the body guards put me in a head lock. >> reporter: she is one of 11

tonight. one says president trump called comey a quote nut job and boasted to russian officials that firing comey eased the pressure on him. and another report claims one current white house official is a person of interest in the investigation into russia's meddling in the election. as all of this plays out here president trump left today for his first international trip since taking office. it is a critical ten-day journey. first up is saudi arabia. he is expected to call on the arab world to unite against islamic extremism. it is a softer tone than when he was on the campaign trail and once says islam hates us. from there it is off to reassure israel after the president shared sensitive information they gathered about a laptop bomb threat, shared it with the russians. then president trump will meet face-to-face with pope francis. after that he is in bru

so serious on board this american airlines flight that flight attendants and passengers had to take moments into their own hands and two fighter jets had to scramble. authorities say a 25-year-old turkish man tried to break through the cockpit door. flight attendants and passengers were able to subdue him. you are see instagram video. before the flight took off police tell us he tried to get through a con course door to make it to the airfield ramp at lax. officials arrested him for trespassing and noticed he was drinking but still allowed him on the his flight. once

route 355 as they knocked down hot spots. no injuries and no word yet on a cause. tonight the parents of a montgomery county man are describing the horrific phone call they got last year, their son left inside a hot car for hours by his caregiver while they were out of the country. a good samaritan likely saved their son's life. and as magen fitzgerald reports today that caregiver found out her sentence. >> reporter: ever since brett campbell was young his parents knew there was something special about his spirit. they knew brett had a purpose in life. >> he literally is full of sunshine. he wakes up with a bright smile. he has such a wonderful easy going personality. >> reporter: he can't move much and can't talk which is why his protective parents are so devastated by what happened in august. >> we were out of town celebrating our 30th

from the police. >> caregiver left a vulnerable adult in a steamy hot car. >> left us feeling very helpless and i couldn't help him. >> reporter: surveillance video shows brett's caregiver walking into the lake forest mall. you can see her meeting up with friends, having lunch, shopping and going into a hair salon. meanwhile brett was trapped in the van in 90 degree heat. when she left the mall she was met by police and today she was sentenced to 18 months in prison. >> to quote the judge, i don't know where your moral compass is to leave someone you know needs water, movement, needs help getting to the bathroom and relieving himself, you should be ashamed of yourself. >> reporter: nothing will take away that traumatic moment but

a d.c. artist's projection protests of president trump is a big hit on social media. you may have seen his work here at the trump hotel. robert bell use as projector and a computer program to create the messages. bell says he has talked to police, attorneys and other experts to make sure his work is legal. he feels the current political climate is taking a toll on everybody. and he says that whether you are on the right or the left or in the middle it doesn't matter. >> you're upset and confused and depressed. so we are really trying to make sure that our projections are nonpartisan. >> bell launched similar protests on to the obama administration and says if hillary clinton had won the presidency she would be getting e

>> i will use it immediately. >> you're not going to have anymore gift cards lying around? >> no. i learned my lesson. expensively, but i learned it. >> reporter: if a retailer announces it is going out of business here are four things you need to know. bankruptcy law dictates who will benefit first. unfortunately customers are at the end of the line. in terms of gift cards courts will decide if business must honor them. in the case of hh gregg customers can file a complaint. when it comes to warranties if you have one administered by a third party you should be okay. otherwise the validity of outstanding warranty varys for each bankruptcy. colin kaepernick may not have a team to throw for this upcoming season but is still considered a game changer.
