president trump is visiting the sistine chapel this morning. angie goff at the live desk with the latest out of rome. >> yes, that's his next stop, sistine chapel. we actually want to take you there live to rome. this is outside of vatican city. as you mentioned, the president is there. we know for at least another few hours. now, during his time here already, the president met with pope francis, we go to some earlier video here. this is their first face-to-face since trump took the presidency. we know there was a gift exchange that president trump gave the pope books written by martin luther king jr. and as a symbol of peace the pope gave trump a medal that he said was created by a roman artist. still no word on the two leaders talked about behind closed doors but we thought it was interesting to share how stark the differences are when it comes to their world views in the

seeing first on news4. we're working with you with big news coming to you with metro silver line. >> adam tuss is live at the tyson's corners metro with the details. adam, what's up? >> reporter: good morning, aaron, yeah, metro's newest line, the silver line is finally going to get the metro newest rail cars, the 7000 series. this is a big deal for everyone using the line especially here in north virginia. people are wondering since the rail line came online, whether we going to see the new rail cars. that is something that people thought would have happened from the get-go. but now for the first time as you take a look at those shiny 7000 series rail cars, riders will be seeing those rail cars. and this has an impact on reliability and safety. because from a reliability standpoint, the 7000 series railcars are longer, meaning they can hold more people. they're eight cars long, seven

than just an extra day off. it is a time to remember those who gave their lives serving our country. and every year, thousands of bikers ride into d.c. for rolling thunder. this is video from last year on sunday morning, the veterans group will ride from the pentagon over the memorial bridge and into the district. today, bikers will take part in a kickoff event in ft. washington. new this morning, parks in our area are among the top in the country but there are still work to be done. the new rankings come from the group trust for public land. d.c. ranked fourth and arlington ranked sixth. first the percentage of residents who can walk ten minutes to a park. the sides of the city and space dedicated to the park. third, the availability of things like basketball hoops and playgrounds. >> when we look at things like park access, we can't

every since the beginning of the silver line three years ago, people have been wondering when are we getting the new metro cars. take a look at the 7000 series rail cars. of course, they have been all across the metro system except here. why does it matter? well, the 78000 series railcars are not only supposed to be more reliable but often longer. they're eight cars in length. meaning you get more space on the trains, instead of the six-car trains running here on the silver line. metro says six car trains have been riding here on the silver line just because ridership has been lower. but now you get the longer eight-car 7000 series trains and those trains are more reliable and they don't break down as often. and they're supposed to be more durable in something like a crash and more upgrades. we expect the trains to start hitting the silver line in a couple of weeks, maybe june 25th, when a s
