goose mabs there is talk of a neighbor md heating and to safety walk. something has got to change. i want to take you to the video from the shooting scene. news 4 camera rolling as several men were being seen taken into handcuffs. this was minutes after the shooting in the cue street northwest area. more than 20 shell casings on the scene. d.c. police got several 911 calls in the area of hanover place. they did find at least one weapon, no injuries reported at this time. this comes days after atd people were shot at a nearby apartment complex. this happened at about 1:00 a.m. on q street northwest. allmendinger nonjones was killed in that shooting. bradley tomorrow mace s thomas e

back in to you. >> this morning tiger woods is promising his fans he was not drunk when he was arrested for dui. the former golf great was arrested for dui in florida yesterday morning. in a statement woods said what happened was an unexpected reaction to prescription medication. >> there is new reaction this morning to the supreme court decision leading to a resentencing in the d.c. sniper case. lee boyd malveaux will be resentenced in virginia after a federal judge determined mandatory life sentences for minors are illegal. malveaux was 17 at the time and was convicted montgomery county and spotsylvania county. two victims were shot but they survived. >> he was convicted in both jurisdictions. i didn't think it made sense from a taxpayer dollar perspective to move forward. you can't sentence juveniles to life without parole in a death penalty. but it came out after he had been

>> malveaux is serving a number of life sentences. even with resentencing he doubts that will change. today the suspected killer in a portland, oregon, train stabbing will face a judge for the first time. jeremy christian killed two people who confronted him after he shouted racist slurs at two women on a train -- two muslim women on a train. he will be weight in in the coming days. portland's mayor is asking organizers to cancel an upcoming trump free speech rally. he's warning that they could pedal a message of hatred. local chapters of the naacp are calling for action. several chapters of the group plan to stand in solidarity with the family of richard collins 3 and speak out against hate crimes. he was killed in a random attack earlier

children's national hospital says more than 20 children are sent to the hospital with gunshot wounds every day. the research calls for 40% of parents wrongly assume their children don't know where guns are kept. on top of that, 22% wrongly believe their children have never handled a gun. >> they think parents have a false sense of security about having these firearms in their home and they believe their children don't know where they are or they've never accessed them. >> researchers suggest before your child visits another home ask the family whether they secure their guns. in the clark case the baby-sitter and her boyfriend have been charged with child neglect with the boy's death. this morning investigators are trying to figure out what went wrong at a california water park. he was thrown from a water slide. this is video from the accident. you've probably seen it online. the 10-year-old boy is launched into tir
