left. this is not the first time this has popped up. on april 27th a noose was found happening inside the kitchen of the university of maryland. four days later bananas tied to posts were on the campus. it's the same day as the first black student took over as president. then on may 11th, 2017, a teacher found a noose hanging from a light fixture at a middle school in an arundle county. two men were arrested and charged with hate crimes. then last friday a noose was found near the smithsonian. no one has been arrested.

fifth time in a month a noose was found inside the museum. happening today, a man who d.c. found with a pistol, assault rifle and 90 rounds of ammo at the trump hotel. police say that he checked into the hotel just before 1:00 a.m. on wednesday. told the parking attendant he had guns in his car. after the arrest d.c. police said they averted a potential disaster. the secret service said that an interview revealed that he stayed at the hotel to show his support for the president and that he posed no immediate threat. he's expected in court later this afternoon. president trump will announce a much anticipated decision today as part of the 4 things to know. the president is trying to

about this. republican council man was getting out of his car late last night, a man pulled out a knife and demanded his keys. the would-be robber stabbed oh once on the side and took off. if you live in d.c. and want a private security camera but can't afford it, the district has a new program to help. mayor muriel bowser is launching a new voucher program. you have to rent or own property in the district and receive public assistance from one of five specific programs. mayor bowser was expected to make the announcement but it was delayed a day. if you're driving through the city of fairfax this morning, watch out for two new red light cameras. you won't get a fine but today they're turning the cameras on and sending out warnings. it's at fairfax boulevard and

germantown road. once again, drivers may want to avoid i-95 in the dale city area. crews will be working to repair the bridge this weekend. work started after this hole opened up on the bridge. here's a better look at where the bridge is located. not far from the mall. city officials warn it could cause extensive delays in both positions. it started with thousands of students across the country. one of the competitors is from howard county. he's representing columbia, maryland. he will take on 39 other spellers at guylord national. we're told the words will be even harder than last years so the bee doesn't end in another tie. they're already so hard. to give you an i
